La Confidential – Camera Shots

1. Shot One – Wide Shot, not quite an establishing shot but there is enough image shown in the shot to establish where the characters are.

2. Over the shoulder shot – to introduce the characters into the scene.

3. Wide shot – introduces the other characters to the scene that were not originally shown.

4. Close up shot – focuses on that persons face in more detail to show his emotion.

5. Medium close up shot – shows the conversation between the characters speaking in the scene.

6. Low angle shot – shows the characters arguing making the shot more intense and more emotional.

7. Close up – shows shortly after the violence scene that other men are just watching.

8. Low angle shot – creates tension form a low perspective showing emotion from the character that was hit, whilst the violent man stands over him. This shot therefore makes the violent man look bigger and tall as the camera is very low to the floor.

9. Over the shoulder shot – shows the violent man striking at the other man again. Showing that all the other characters are just stood watching the violence happen, creating emotion and distress to the audience.

10. Low angle close up shot – to show the movement of the man as his legs swing from the amount of force against him.

11.Close up shot – to show the distress of the man being hit against the rest of the characters.
