CHARACTERISTICS OF CONSTRUCTION

MAIN ENTRANCE DOORS The main entrance doors have several hinged wings made of aluminium profiles (50 mm thick) with panelling in double galvanized iron sheet, insulated of basaltic mineral wool having a density of 100 kg/m³ with medium sc attering coefficient Kcal/h sqm°c 0.030 with 40 mm thickness, class F0 , pre-painted yellow colour and only outsides small parts blue-sky colour, the inside part is pre-painted white colour, all is protected by plastic film (only as requested, the outsides panels can be blue-sky colour not printed). The door-wings are complete with perimeter seals, glass, assembled on the aluminium frame with round profile (windows), locks with inside system. SERVICE DOORS The service doors are made of aluminium profiles, with spring closing and push, by thrust, open to the outside, for necessity to escape or in case of too high pressure in the booth. The service doors are positioned each set the separate sections of the main door or instead of the main door. As required, as optional, they can installed in the other side of the booth.

BOOTH BODY The booth body is load-bearing structure in aluminium with round profile (total front - sides - roof and behind side) tubular, outside and roof panelling of booth body in double galvanized sheet iron insulated of basaltic mineral wool having a density of 100 kg/m ³ with medium scattering coefficient Kcal/h sqm°c 0.030 with 40 mm thickness, class F0, pre-painted yellow colour and only outsides small parts blue-sky colour, the inside part is pre-painted white colour, all is protected by plastic film (only as requested, the outsides panels can be blue-sky colour not printed). The external part of the panels is completely print ed so that to increase the resistance. The roof is made of double galvanized iron sheet insulated of basaltic mineral wool having a density of 100 kg/m ³ with medium scattering coefficient Kcal/h sqm°c 0.030 with 40 mm thickness, class F0.

FILTER CEILING The filtering ceiling is made of filter-holder frame in galvanized , white pre-painted sheet complete with progressive action, SELF-EXTINGUISHING F1 class, as DIN 53438 Ponte 3 padding material: efficiency class EUROVENT / CEN - EU 5, F 5, for total length of spray booth.

AIR INLET PLENUM POSITIONED ON THE BOOTHS ROOF The air inlet plenum is positioned above the filters and is made of press-worked galvanized iron sheet for total length of spray booth. THE PLENUM IS INSIDE THE BOOTH BODY AND PROVIDED OF THERMAL INSULATION IN basaltic mineral wool having a densi ty of 100 kg/m³ with medium scattering coefficient Kcal/h sqm°c 0.030 with 40 mm thickness, class F0.

IMPORTANT: THE BOOTH BODY ARE BUILT WITH GAIN-SYSTEM, FIXED BY SELF-THREADING SCREWS. THERE ARE NO WELDINGS TO P REVENT OXIDATION AND RUST. IT CAN BE ASSEMBLED OUTDOOR WITHOUT ANY PROBLEM, ONL Y BY USING A ROOF COVER.

LAMP-HOLDER BEAMS The lamp-holder beams are in galvanized sheet and white pre-painted, are placed on the upper comers of the booth, complete of roof lamps with neon tubes tightly closet with half crystal glass and gaskets, IP 55 PROTECTION as CEI 34-21 Section 9-10-12 EN 13355-EN 12215 2005 IMPORTANT: THE LIGHTS ARE IN SUPERIOR PRESSURE OF T HE INSIDE CABINE AND ARE ALWAYS CROSSED ONLY BY EXTERN AL AIR CLEANING (OPEN CYCLE). IN THIS CASE IS IMPOSSIBL E THAT EXPLOSIVE SUBSTANCES CAN ENTER INSIDE THE LAMP-HOLDER. ALSO THE GLASS WILL NEVER DIRTY. THE LIGHTS CAN START ONLY IF THE VENTILATION FUNCTION IS IN OPERAT ION.

HOT AIR GENERATOR

CHARACTERISTICS OF CONSTRUCTION

STRUCTURE The housing structure for pre-filtering and for heat exchanger is made of self-supporting pieces of double skin sheet metal galvanized panels. These sheet metal panels are manufactured by pressure-folding and include a layer of insulation of basaltic fibreglass with medium scattering coeffici ent Kcal/h mq °c 0.030 between the layers. The combination is jointed together by bolts and is sealed by a plastic sealant.

PRE-FILTERING The filters are made of synthetic, SELF-EXTINGUISHING F1 class, as DIN 53438 Ponte 3 material and mounted on galvanized steel frames with a containing mesh net easy to be changed.

VENTILATION The ventilation assembly is made up of a single centrifugal ventilator or combined in a double suction system with a blade rotor in the front, SERIE 'AT' . The head (total pressure), which is necessary for the perfect working of spray booth is 650 Pa. The specifications refer to an air temperat ure of 15° C, 760 mm Hg pressure and specific weight of 1,22 K g/cu.m. The motor is a closed type with an external ventilation, IP 55 PROTECTION. Transmission by pulleys and belts to reduce the number of the revolutions (REDUCED NUMBER TURNS = LESS NOISE).

HEAT EXCHANGER FOR HOT WATER HEATING - OVERHEATED WATER OR VAPOUR: The heat exchanger is on indirect exchange an it is provided with battery with copper – aluminium, made from N. 4 ranks and N. 22 circuits, complete with 3-way proportional globe valves with linear actuator, particular model that allows an optimal temperature regulation and a considerable calories saving (warm water, overheated water or vapour).

IMPORTANT

GIVE THIS DESCRIPTION TO YOUR TECHNICIAN OR PLUMBER Hot water feeding: the pump of your boiler must have a MINIMUM water litre delivery each hour, equal to 12% of needed calories (Kcal/h) for the oven (figure obtained from our experience). We recommended to install a 3- speed pump. P.A.. Our batteries have a flow resistance including the proportional 3-way globe valve, equal to 120 Kpa (12 meters water column approximately). WATER JOINTS 2’’ (inches). The water temperature must never be lower than 82°C (recommended 84°C min. and 90°C max). Overheated water feeding: the pump of your boiler must have a MINIMUM water litre delivery each hour, equal to 10% of needed calories (Kcal/h) for the oven (figure obtained from our experience). We recommended to install a 3- speed pump. P.A.. Our batteries have a flow resistance including the proportional 3-way globe valve, equal to 120 Kpa (12 meters water column approximately). WATER JOINTS 2’’ (inches). The water temperature must never be lower than 110°C (recommended 110°C min . and 118°C max). -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Feeding vapour : from Your net of distribution of vapour, it requires us to have 1 kg/h around of vapour to 130°C wi th pressure of 3 cafes for 550 installed calories (gives gotten by our experience). Example: applications 220.000 kcal/h.: quantity of in demand vapour: 220.000:550=400 Kg/h. HEAT EXCHANGER WITH BURNER The heat exchanger with combustion chamber and smoke return tubes is made with special anti-thermal steel. The automatic burner is controlled by a thermo-regulator with the sensor inside the painting chamber. P.A. Combustion chamber on 4 fume turns, with high efficiency and can lead to have up to 40% saving of fuel compared to all other heat generators with indirect exchange and up to 22% saving of fuel compared to heat gene rators with natural gas of vein of air burner . Just compare the difference of Kcal or kW declared by us and those declared by other manufactures. CONFRONTATION SHOULD BE DONE BETWEEN TWO BOOTHS WIT H THE SAME AIR FLOW (m³/h). ELECTRIC CONTROL BOARD FOR CHECKING AND ADJUSTMENT The control board consists of a small metal box containing the electrical devices necessary for the operation, heat control and safety of the installation, in compliance with the today’ standards.

T E C H N I C A L E N C L O S U R E

AIR CLEANER WITH ACTIVE CARBONS

The absorption system consists of the following sections:

METAL FRAME: it is entirely made of galvanized sheet steel panelling preset for fixing by means of screws. The frame is preset as to contain the filter, the absorption and the fan sections, i.e.:

PRE-FILTER SECTION: it is the lower module of the unit; it carries out the pre-filtering of the air being sucked from the polluted discharged agent. The section consists of a set of filtering cells (varying according to the type of absorber). The cells are made of a filter panel self-extinguishing synthetic fibre (second layer) FA 280 with a high absorption capability of solid particles and of a layer (first layer) of flame-proof FIBER GLASS primary filter. These filters have a low load loss and can be easily replaced when fully exhausted. The filters are contained in container of CELLULOSE, duly placed on guide rails along the air flow section. The large dimensioned filtering surface guarantees both a perfect filtering and a long life of the filters. The filtering cells are disposable (N.2 LAYER OF FILTER, CELLS FOR AIR CLEANER AND N.3 LAYER OF FILTER FOR DRY EXTRACTION UNIT). The filtering cells are disposable (N.2 LAYER OF FILTER FOR AIR CLEANER AND N.3 LAYERS OF FILTERS FOR DRY EXTRACTION UNIT). Int o the active carbons air cleaner, besides the 2 lay ers of filter cells, a large dimensioned (0,85 sq.mt. e ach) filtering sleeve is inserted into each cartrid ge, which is made of self-extinguishing fiber glass FA 280 with a high absorption capability. The lower pre-filter module is provided with buffers which make it possible to inspect and check the filter clogging.

THE ADSORPTION SOLVENTS SYSTEM IS COMPOSED OF: ONLY FOR ACTIVE CARBONS AIR CLEANER SOLVENT ABSORBING UNIT: is the intermediate module and absorbing part of existing vaporized solvents and acids in the mixture to be treated. The section consists of a certain quantity of cartridges containing type AC 40 active carbon, the quantity of cartridges varying according to type of absorber. Said cartridges have to be duly placed in order to guarantee the peak efficiency as for the absorption capacity and the maximum life of the carbons themselves. The special shape of the cartridges along with the air speed parameters have made it possible to eliminate any preferential flow through the layer, thus obtaining an even distribution of the flow on the absorption layer. This system is valid only for active carbons air cl eaners. It is not valid for dry extraction units. The extraction units are present as a possibility t o be added as an OPTIONAL to the unit itself. FAN SECTION: it is the upper module of the unit downstream the whole system for the achievement of the ideal conditions to work with under pressure. The special size of the fan section makes it possible to overcome any crossover loss of pressure, this giving definite head values to the sucked air. The ventilation assembly is made up of a single centrifugal fan or combined in a double suction system with a blade rotor in the front “SERIES AT” , coupled to a three-phase electric motor by pulleys and trapezoidal belts to decrease the number of revolutions (REDUCED REVOLUTION NUMBER = LESS NOISE) The motor is a closed type and assembled outside the air flow circuit, in accordance with the safety rules with IP 55 protection.

FUNCTIONAL CHARACTERISTICS

PAINTING PHASE The air is sucked from the exterior into the ventilation unit passing through the pre-filtering system. It is heated up by the heat exchanger, conveyed to the plenum and, after flowing through the filtering ceiling, enters in the booth mostly purified of dust particles and evenly balanced into the painting room. The air draft flow from top to bottom thereby uniformly wrapping around the parts to be painted, thus removing the over-spray. The achieved circuit, is of open type with a total air exchange. The booth, as all parts of the system are situated below the ventilators, is in overpressure in relation to outside so to avoid infiltrations of any impurities inside of booth.

DRYING PHASE The drying phase takes place by reducing the amount of air, which enters the booth. This occurs by means of n.2 shutters inside the heat generator. The air, which flows through the booth during the painting phase, is not recycled and therefore is pushed to the exterior. This procedure allows for the evacuation of the solvents arisen off during the drying phase, rechange with fresh air is higher than 20%. Due to the "open" circuit, the recycling of air between the booth and generator does not occur. PAY ATTENTION: All generators of our booths are pro vided with: n. 2 dampers with manual independent regulators in order to adjust the air quantity as per your requ irements and use. In this way it’s possible to save 40% of fuel and e lectric power. P.A. Only upon demand this spray booth can operate with total air exhaust system, partial exhaust sys tem or "total air recirculation system" (closed cycle).
