DESCRIPTION
According to American philosopher Fredric Jameson, Cyberpunk, as an important genre in literature and cinema art, is a vessel for certain critic, forecast and diagnosis of our own age (so called Late Modernity). It implies a view beyond the social and philosophical securities of Modernity. It’s a certain type of Naturalism but without the trust in the possibilities of social evolution and faith in the progress of human reason, typical in the 19th and the first half of Twentieth Century. In this paper I attempt a panoramic description of this fictional proposal.TRANSCRIPT
