• Grew quickly- Able meet the needs of customer - design, specs, pricing

and delivery timeline

• Project-based business: must follow schedule given, accept changes and delays due to site condition, co-operate with many parties

• Lab: High mix, low volume. Need to take site measurements, many drawings

• Different users for each room/floors- Delays in sign-off of drawings due to various reasons,

production need to catch up

• High cost – tight labour, storage space, logistics cost

• Changes/delays at site affect

– manufacturing, storage, manpower deployment, other project

• Lean organisation: machine breakdown? staff turnover ?

• How to keep track of so many furniture (and parts), changes, from drawing to manufacturing, installation, touch-up and handover?
