12. 1.

Put the 8 mm round bead in your beadwork. Align the hole of the bead to the centre of the bottom hole of your beadwork. If your beadwork is a bit tight, and you’re having difficulties aligning the 8mm bead by hand, you can simply put a thicker needle through it, and adjust it by twisting and moving the needle. [Pic. 11.1.].

I promise I won’t fill up your mailbox - this is just a single email every month. In addition to this all subscribers will receive a Christmas gift from me every year.

I love tiny beadworks very much. I designed a little beaded bead (its diameter is just 12 mm) exclusively for International Beading Week 2020. I named my creation Ladybird Beaded Bead, because the red one remembers me to a tiny cute ladybird.

If you create one piece it can be used as a tiny pendant. From two pieces you can make a pair of earrings. From more pieces you can create longer earrings, and if you can’t stop beading them - as I did :) - you can make a bracelet, or a whole necklace from them.

International Beading Week (IBW) is a worldwide event that celebrates our passion for stitching with beads. IBW will held on the first week of August every year and the goal of the event is: “Bringing Beadworkers Together”. If you’ve never participated in IBW before, please do take a look at IBW website (internationalbeadingweek.com), there are lots of ideas on how you can get involved, special offers, events and so many freebies.

Do not miss it out: 25th July to 2nd August 2020

FLAT CHENILLE STITCH

https://flatchenillestitch.com

THE OFFICIAL WEBSITE OF THE FLAT CHENILLE STITCH IS WAITING FOR YOU!

I love and often use in my projects the chenille rope technique.

I was wondering, whether it’s possible to create a chenille net, with more chenille rows. As a result I invented the Flat Chenille Pattern, and I named the pattern, which describes the design, or the technique ‘Flat Chenille Stitch’, because I wanted to express the visual similarity to the pattern of the rope created using the traditional Chenille Stitch.

F LAT CHENILLE IS A NOVEL DESIGN AMONG THE ONES WE USE, because it significantly differs from the usual

flat stitches, like the peyote, the RAW or the herringbone. This is a very easy pattern, with an enchanted, delicate and beautiful result.

Contrary to its name, ‘Flat Chenille Stitch’ is NOT A STITCH, especially NOT A BASIC STITCH.

The Flat Chenille Design defines the way of beading and the position and orientation of the beads relatively to each other.

After the first publication of my original Flat Chenille Stitch design I modified the beginning of the beading a little bit (I added an extra row before the first row), because it gives optically more beautiful appearance to the design.
