Life Is but a.....?“What is Life? They say it’s from “B” To “D”. From Birth to Death, But What’s between “B” and “D”? It’s a “C”; so what is a “C”? It is a choice. Our life is a matter of choices; live well and it will never go wrong” So this is basically one of the most well-thought-out interpretation of life I’ve ever come across, yet I just don’t buy it! Yes it’s true that our lives is greatly driven by the choices and decisions we make, but there is much more to it than the letter “C”.

I don’t really believe there is such thing called the “meaning of life;” it’s absolutely relative and varies greatly from one individual to another. There are numerous factors that affect one’s perception and interpretation of life. Some associate the meaning of life to the thing they love most in it; for instance ,if work is what you appreciate most in life, then for you, work becomes life and life becomes work! If you think marriage and family is all that matters, then you’ll probably connect the whole meaning of your life to that aspect. And others associate life with religion, love, travel, art, or even football, and so on.

Recently, whenever I contemplate about life and its meaning, I can’t help but think about Beyonce’s autobiographical film “Life is but a Dream.” For me, and who knows who else, life is the longest dream of them all. An extended dream during which our subconscious and our deepest desires get manifested in reality. The way I see it, life is nothing but a reflection of us; of our hopes that keep on changing and adjusting with the various phases and stages we go through. So what’s left now is for you to fill in the blanks; life is but a .......?

I was lucky enough to have this chat with Egyptians dance idol Mrs. Sonia Sarkis, the Egyptian Prima Ballerina who managed to put Egyptian ballet on the world’s map, with her outstanding performance and incredible representation throughout her years of experience. Her beautiful daughter and professional dancer Christine has joined us with her valuable insight about ballet and the rich history behind their private dance school ‘The Dance

Factory’.

WOULD YOU TELL ME MORE ABOUT YOU MRS. SARKIS.I entered the world of Ballet when I was 9 years old, and graduated after exactly 9 years. I was always the first of my class. And then I continued till I was

The Dance FactoryA Chat with the Best in the Business!

qualified enough to be prima ballerina; I was the first ballerina in Egypt. I’ve become a member of Cairo Opera Ballet company, through which I performed and represented Egypt all over the world.

HAVE YOU STARTED TEACHING EARLY ON?After finishing my undergraduate studies, I continued in the Higher Institute of Ballet in Cairo. I was doing very good, and it was a sort of an obligation/job for those qualified enough to start teaching younger ballet generations. I would teach in the morning and dance ballet at night, and that was basically my life during that stage.

HOW DID YOU HANDLE THE HUGE RESPONSIBILITY OF REPRESENTING EGYPT AT A VERY YOUNG AGE? As a prima ballerina, I flew all over the world with my ballet company to represent the country on the most prestigious international stages. Ballet wasn’t

Page 18: Ladybird magazine July issue

JULY 2016 | 15

only a dance form, but it was also an artistic way of communication with the outside world. I used to train and practice for 8 hours per day, and sure thing it felt overwhelming on many days, but it was worth every moment.

THERE ARE MANY GOOD DANCERS, BUT ONLY FEW STAND OUT, AND YOU’RE DEFINITELY AMONG THOSE FEW. WHAT/WHO HELPED YOU REACH SUCH A HIGH STANDARD? The institute back then was all Russians, and I was blessed and lucky to be trained by class-A caliber that taught me the right technique at early age and helped me capture the discipline required for this sophisticated form of art. Also, the government back then used to invest much more in ballet which enabled us to get the tools and exposure needed to compete internationally.

CAN YOU DEFINE CERTAIN MILESTONES IN YOUR CAREER?All through my career, I got invited by the top ballet companies in the world to join them and had participated in numerous competitions. But if you would name a milestone, it would definitely be the time I preformed on the prestigious Russian Bolshoi. I was the first Egyptian Ballerina to dance on the Bolshoi.

NOW I WANT TO SHIFT OUR FOCUS TO THE DANCE FACTORY; CAN YOU TELL ME MORE ABOUT IT MRS. SARKIS?Well, I’ve been teaching ballet for 18 years in a very small studio in Korba district, then we’ve moved here, to our current location, because we needed a bigger space to accommodate our growing number of students, and to expand in terms of classes being offered.

DO YOU OFFER OTHER FORMS OF DANCE OR ONLY BALLET? We offer ballet for youngsters and adults. We also have zumba, and we offer workshops for jazz and Latin dance.

THE COMPETITION IS VIGOROUS IN THE FITNESS AND DANCE INDUSTRY, WITH PEOPLE ENTERING EVERY DAY. HOW DO YOU MANAGE TO STAND OUT?Our main focus is dancing not fitness. We try to go the extra mile with everything we do. For instance, we’ve been having members telling us that they’ve

never experienced zumba the way we offer it before. Furthermore, many other entities have it as purely business and lack passion, which for us is the core. We’re not commercial and we will never be. Also, credibility is a must; we’re ballerinas, we were born to dance, and we know what we teach from firsthand experience. Our members come because they trust Sonia Sarkis.

HOW DO YOU KEEP THE YOUNGER AGE GROUP MOTIVATED AND COMMITTED? We hold an annual big show for our participants/dancers as a way of motivating them and inspiring them to get better. This show is attended by many prominent figures, including big, who scout for new talents to join Opera House ballet company. Our most recent was last April, and was held in the New Generation School.

FINALLY, WHAT’S YOUR HOPES FOR THE DANCE FACTORY?Next stage we’re planning to introduce more solid structure to other dance forms we offer, like jazz and contemporary; we want to expand in terms of classes offered. Also, in addition to our annual show, we’re planning to organize a big competition gathering Egypt’s top private dance schools; so that students would get more exposure and learn from one another. We also hope that with time we would break the “not-manly” stereotype attached to ballet, and would love to see more guys joining us. And lastly, we want to encourage parents to break free from the society’s negative perceptions about dance.

SPOTTEDCELEBS LATEST NEWS & GOSSIP

Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx are Officially a Thing!Reliable sources have confirmed that Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx are in a committed relationship. After years of speculations surrounding the two Hollywood A-Listers, a source close to the two has publically announced that they’ve been together for a while now and that they are happy with their relationship. The 37-year-old Holmes is a mother to beautiful daughter from her previous marriage with Tom Cruise that lasted till 2012, while 48-year-old Foxx is a proud father of two daughters; and both are known for their tremendous success in Hollywood.

Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston are Dating! The 27-year-old Singer and Song writer Taylor Swift has been recently spotted on several occasions with British Heartthrob Tom Hiddleston, who is widely known for his personification of the evil “Loki” in ‘Thor.’ Their relationship came as a shock especially for Swift’s fans because only days have passed since her also so-shocking breakup with DJ Calvin Harris after a long fairytale-like relationship.

OJ Simpson is Taking a Paternity Test for Khloe Kardashian After flying under the radar for a while now, and as if his trial hasn’t stirred enough controversy for years already, OJ Simpson is dominating headlines again, but it’s now being attached to none other than the Kardashian clan. Rumors have been circulating for a while, suggesting that Simpson is the real father of Khloe Kardashian, the youngest of the infamous Kardashian sisters; and just recently he agreed to take a paternity test to put all those speculations to rest.

dewy fresh look by applying a minimal amount of highlighter on your cheek bones; something that would add to your natural look. One of my favorites would be Watts Up! by benefit.

It is preferred to use blush stain than powder blush not to get that cakey look.

It’s summer time! With all the wonderful colors and things it brings along the way we have to keep in mind that our wardrobe is not the only thing that needs an update to keep up with the rise of temperature and hot weather.

Be bold this summer and play with vibrant colors. Livelier colors brighten the face and bring a youthful glow to skin, from the eyeliners to lip colors. For eyeliners, go with blue, green, teal and purple, and to add some summer colors to your lips, use lip stain and avoid using matte colors. With lip stain (peach colors and sweet pink range) you can refresh it with some lip balm.

Blotting Papers:An oily T Zone will let everyone know that you’re feeling hot, so to eliminate this shine use your blotting paper just press and go!

Quick and Easy Makeup Tips for your Summer Getaway

Good makeup starts with good preparation, so as we have mentioned before we use our moisturizer but this time we need to make

sure it’s oil free one, especially in the morning. Follow it with a good primer, one of the best primers is Pore-fessional by Benefit. This will prep your skin for your BB Cream or tinted cream. Less is more keep things light; that way you can get a fresh look.

Bronzer:Applying a little bronzer gives the skin some glow and makes it look healthy. Apply it to the areas that are largely affected by the sun, like cheek bones, forehead and you could also add a slight touch on the nose. Just make sure you don’t overdo it, so that you won't look fake or get a baked look. Sephora bronzer is one of the best as it has different shades.

The Moulin Rouge spirit will resume its reputation even more with the ever-growing Burgundy trend. Worn by L’Oréal Professionnel’s IT girl ALESSANDRA AMBROSIO, L’Oreal brunettes this season are gearing towards the more visible reflects resulting in more depth to our look. Happening on the latest catwalks and worn by our celebrity favorites such as Katy Perry, Emma Stone, or even as vibrant as Rihanna, the brunette of this season is stronger with a more vibrant reflect. Fashioned by L’Oréal Professionnel’s IT girl CAMILLE ROWE this season’s blond is a cool blonde, a “coolness” that suits every woman’s personality; the chic, the elegant, the modern and hippy woman. To introduce and promote the newest it looks in Egypt, renowned Hair Dresser Eric Zemmour had gone on a road show across the country, and we had the chance to have a little chat with him, during which he had given us his insight on the newest trends. Describing the new IT Looks, Zemmour said “Basically the concept of it looks is to touch base with high profile people; those who are known and that people are familiar with. And mainly because clients nowadays tend to identify trends with

stars and top models, we decided to reach our clients using what appeals to them the most.”

Zemmour further added “ we went back to the blonds this season, and for the cold blond look, we went a bit dark on the roots and highlighted the ends. While with regards to the burgundy/brown-reds, we went dark on the roots again and we added a lot of light to the ends. And with regards to texture, we’re mainly focusing on length.” For the vibrant burgundy it look, the straightened sleek hairdo made a comeback; basically square cuts with a fringe. While for the blonds, the retro wave that deliver the 70s vibes are spot-on. Moreover, when asked about skin color, and whether it plays a factor, Zemmour stated that the lighter your skin the better the blond look would work with you; and the darker is your skin, the better reds and burgundy would work for you.

This summer’s growing mood is a naturalistic gypsy one worn by many international fashion bloggers, celebrities and witnessed in many SS’16 catwalks, so hop on the gypsy train and pick a side now!

Just like Pantone is the color authority of fashion, you just can’t talk about hair color trends without mentioning L’Oreal. For years, L’Oreal Professionnel has been the main trend-setter in the world of beauty and hair, and for this season of Spring Summer 2016, the verdict was in the favor of Vibrant Burgundy and Cold Blond; bringing us a blast from the 70s’ hair past, with varieties of hairdos including Backcombing Waves, Extreme Straightening Bob as well as the fringe, among several others.

1- WE WOULD LIKE TO KNOW MORE ABOUT YOU; WOULD YOU PLEASE BRIEF US ON YOUR EXPERIENCE BEFORE JOINING KEMPINSKI. I am French originally from Brittany, working since 30 years in hospitality. I have been to all continent and Egypt is my twentieth country on my work experience. My greatest experience was the 2000 Olympics Games in Sydney at Park Hyatt Hotel.

2- WHEN HAVE YOU JOINED ROYAL MAXIM PALACE KEMPINSKI, CAIRO? AND HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR EXPERIENCE HERE SO FAR?It's been a month since I've arrived here. I got a transfer from Kempinski Gold Cost City in Accra - Ghana. The experience is great so far and I am looking forward to improve all our effort.

A Talk with Chef Jacques Armand Of

Royal Maxim Palace KempinskiThe Man Behind all Those Mouthwatering Pastries

3- WE BELIEVE THAT THERE ARE THREE MAIN FACTORS THAT DETERMINE A GOOD DINING/FOOD EXPERIENCE: THE MENU, THE TASTE OF FOOD, AND THE QUALITY OF THE SERVICE OFFERED. DO YOU AGREE WITH THAT? AND IF YOU WOULD RATE THEM BASED ON THEIR IMPORTANCE, WHICH FACTOR WOULD GET THE HIGHEST RATE?The quality of service, the taste of food and presentation, an attractive menu.

4- HOW DO YOU ENSURE THE CONSISTENCY OF THE QUALITY OF THE FOOD/SERVICE OFFERED? FOR INSTANCE, DO YOU HAVE QUESTIONNAIRES/EVALUATION CARDS FOR YOUR GUESTS TO FILL IN? DO YOU OFFER FREQUENT TRAINING FOR YOUR TEAM?We have an online questionnaire and an internal questionnaire audit. Otherwise we have a training program for our team. To be sure of the quality and consistency, we are tasting the food every day. In the meanwhile, we have to adapt our menus to the new trends to satisfy our Egyptian clientele.

5- DO YOU HAVE A FAVORITE CUISINE? AND WHAT MAKES IT YOUR FAVORITE?Vietnamese cuisine is my favorite. Since my childhood I always ate Asian food with my parents and now I have a Vietnamese wife. Her mother was a cooking teacher in Hanoi. 6- AS YOU KNOW "LITTLE THINGS MAKE ALL THE DIFFERENCE;" IF YOU DON'T MIND, WOULD YOU SHARE WITH US ONE CHANGE ( WHETHER IT'S A NEW A NEW DISH, NEW STRATEGY, ETC.) THAT MADE A GREAT DIFFERENCE TO YOU WORK? We are working on new menus and presentation for all our restaurants. As per Kempinski standard, we are also working on a gluten free menu to be unique in Cairo.

BRINGING SUMMER TO

YOUR HOME

Styling Tip : Colour palettes for your balcony Like you know I love to work with colour palettes for the home. Not only indoor but also outdoor you can create colour palettes for your garden or balcony. You can paint the shutters ( Shish) in a colour of this colour palette and match the furniture. For example, a colour palette with white, turquoise, neutrals or poppy green with orange and brown. For all the colour palettes you create, add a lot of green to create an Urban Jungle on your balcony. Match the new outdoor tiles from The Nile Co with your colour palette to upgrade your balcony floor.

Styling Tip : New Bedouin style Go ‘glamping’ in your own garden in new bedouin style. Put some outdoor rugs on the floor or grass like these new rugs from Reform Studio. Add some cushions, a low table filled with fruits or make your own food together with friends and family. Decorate your outdoor picnic with a light string, plants and low tables.

Styling Tip : Grow your own herbs We all can be gardeners, and you could grow your own herbs in the garden or balcony. Put herbs like mint, basil, thyme and parsley in small pots together on a big tray on the outdoor table. You can also put them together in a big old sink where they grow all together. Believe me, it’s so nice to make your own fresh Mint Tea with mint leaves from your own garden!

Styling Tip : Cosy corners to relaxAre you blessed with a garden? Then you can easily create cosy corners where you can enjoy some me-time. Do you have a tree in the garden? Create your own swing with a pallet and some rope, an easy do it yourself. Paint the pallet, fix the rope and add some cushions, done! Cushions and rugs ( again from Reform Studio) are a beautiful addition to every garden setting.

Styling Tip : Decorate your table with plants and flowers Flowers and plants will complete every styling process and make it more cosy and inviting. Put some white flowers in a small vase and put this in your sitting area. Or put some big plants in different pots and put them on the dinning table. You can also put down a plant with tomatos or bell perper. It’s colourful, nice for the kids to learn about growing and healthy as well.

Tips for Travelling Light

Packing is the least favorite part of planning a trip. While women go over the top with their packing and usually carry the heaviest luggage, men often fall in the trap of packing too little, and both are doing it wrong. We only think about half of the question that needs to be asked, and tend to focus on the “what” instead of the “how.” So here are some key factors to help you travel light and make packing much easier and convenient...

1- Size of LuggageExpert travelers argues that one should not carry a size of luggage bigger than a carryon; which we know for us Egyptian and the way we like to pack would be nearly impossible. So let’s meet halfway here, always go for the medium size luggage not the big ones. One medium sized luggage and one backpack is the way to go if you want to travel light.

2- Material and Color of Garments Avoid packing materials that easily wrinkle; opt for durable ones that you can wear throughout the day, even more than once. Darker shades are more efficient for light packing, because darker colors are considered to be heavy-duty garments, as they don’t show stains like bright ones.

3- Outfits Don’t pack items randomly, try to plan your outfits ahead. Pack outfits that could be worn in different occasions, during day and night; separate them with a statement necklace or a belt, as they take much smaller room than packing a whole outfit.

4- Placing of ItemsHow you place your items in the bag can make or break your packing process. Try to roll the clothes instead of folding them over on another, so that you consume less space. If you’re more comfortable with folding, try fold two or three items together instead of one. Also, do your best to even out the density of your luggage; for instance don’t place your shampoo, body spray, comb, etc, in one corner of the bag. Spread them out.

1Family Medicine

Dr. Jay BradleyLasik Surgery

Is it safe to have lasik eye surgery for astigmatism?

2

3 Dr. Gary MossAllergy and Immunology

Is it possible to have cholinergic urticaria without producing hives?

4

Doctor’s Answer:Yes; most patients with astigmatism can have laser eye surgery as long as they are good candidates.

Doctor’s Answer:Hard to say. A dentist can help you with your sensitivity and gum problems. Most supplements do not cause this but it can happen if you have an allergy to something in the supplement. Be careful taking supplements. Some can be dangerous. Always talk to a doctor, or a qualified nutritionist when taking supplements. But now see a dentist.

Doctor’s Answer:No need to worry. According to the American Academy of Dermatology, the white spots occur after injury to the nail. Fortunately, as the nail grows out, the spot will disappear.

Doctor’s Answer:Yes; actually, by definition, no, but I have had patients with every aspect of the disease without the hives, so I just treat it as a variant.

Wound care

Dr. William SingerPediatric Neurology

Doctor’s Answer:Altered level of consciousness, severe headache, vomiting, confusion and difficulty communicating. If any of these occur, you should be seen as soon as possible.

Gastroenterology

Doctor’s Answer:Sunburn is the response of the tissues to injury from solar radiation. It is simply inflammation which means it needs an increased blood flow to the area to promote healing. Do not use ice as this can injure already injured skin. Cool water soaks can help as can taking anti-inflammation medicines like Motrin or advil. Avoid any further damage as this can cause scarring . Good skin cream applied daily/gently helps.

Doctor’s Answer:May be normal to have many types of movements when falling asleep, during sleep, and when waking up. If a child is otherwise a happy, normal kid, then parents can just make a video of the movements to show the doctor. Parents can add details such as: when it happens, how long it lasts, what foods or meds taken, etc... During some episodes on video, wake him up while showing his response on video.

Doctor’s Answer:It’s difficult to tell. If you have an obvious risky food exposure with other sick contacts then food poisoning would be more likely. Otherwise very difficult to differentiate the two.

“CAN I USE A FAT BURNER FOR FAST RESULTS?”There goes the most common question I get asked daily. However, they get astonished when they see the big “NO” on my face. If you look

Nutrition

Is it the Fat Burner or

the Diet?

at the back of any weight loss supplement, it will say that the product must be used along with a calorie restricted diet and exercise. But come on, people always want to have it the easy way. In my opinion, there is no magic pill.

Page 54: Ladybird magazine July issue

JULY 2016 | 51

YOUR DIET IS 80% OF YOUR WEIGHT LOSS

Fat burners are only supplements used to enhance fat loss, in other words they may help in the process of weight loss, but you are not guaranteed effective results because everyone is different. At some point your body becomes tolerant to things just like using the same type of shampoo or face cream for a while; gradually your body gets accustomed to the change so the stimulant is no longer effective. Many people think that taking a pill will make the weight vanish in a week. They think the fat burner is the miracle solution they've been looking for. In fact, following a healthy diet is 80 percent of the battle.

WHAT DO FAT BURNERS DO?Fat burners can only enhance fat loss, but they're only going to do so if you are following a proper diet and staying consistent with a workout plan. They work in many ways. They can boost energy, help curb appetite, promote fat to be used for energy, and even increase your metabolism and core temperature so you burn more calories throughout the day. But if you are taking weight loss supplements yet being a couch potato and binging on burger, pizza, and fries, then definitely you’re not going to see any results.

WHAT MANUFACTURERS WON’T TELL YOU?Not every ingredient you are ingesting is written on the label, so be careful. Manufacturers don’t reveal everything they use in making those fat burners, and

sadly some of those ingredients can be lethal, so why take the risk. Basketball players and athletes have died using those fat burners and some have overdosed and were lucky enough to survive. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) does not regulate and approve products like fat burners before they go on the market. Rather, the FDA only steps in if a health risk is found once they are already in the market.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU STOP USING FAT BURNERS?When you disturb your body’s homeostasis and tamper with its own natural mechanism to maintain its balance, you can actually cause your metabolism to slow down drastically. As I mentioned before using a stimulant makes your body respond accordingly in the beginning, then the stimulant becomes less effective causing your own metabolism to slow down. Once you stop taking the fat burner you will gain all the weight back even more.

CONCLUSION Fat burners should not be used under any circumstances unless instructed and prescribed by a doctor for sever medical cases. Like I said, if you can do 80% of the job by following a healthy diet, and changing little things in your lifestyle, you will reach the results you want. It just needs some time management and staying focused on your goal. No one said weight loss was easy, but staying healthy definitely is.

Love & Relationships

So, now that you are ready to introduce him to your friends, to your family, and even to your work colleagues, there is just one, “tiny,” issue—or worry, rather! He is somewhat out of your league. No, not in that sense. I mean REALLY of out your league. As a matter of fact, the two of you all are in two, different leagues. He was around when The Supremes and The Beatles were in style, and you grew up when Janet Jackson and Madonna were. . .In Vogue. Ok. . .perhaps, I am being a little too extreme! However, you get the gist.

Let’s say that the age difference is slightly ten years apart. You are ten years older, he is 10 years younger, or vice versa. Is it possible that you or he, could be, as we say. ..robbin’ the cradle? After all, why was it so impossible for you to have gotten a man within your own age category? Now, that definitely is a good question. Perhaps, you didn’t feel that flame, as you do with your younger or older beau. Ok. Fair enough. Now let’s go back to some other questions, shall we. What are the traits which make this partnership acceptable? Ah! The maturity factor. So, just to make sure that we are getting straight to business, let’s be blunt. . .Is this a relationship of two mature adults? Hmm. . .That’s a great question, as well. When you are with your, uh hm, “man,” do you feel that you have a

In 1994, our beloved R&B/Hip Hop Princess, Aaliyah, made the thoughts of so many become so real: “Age ain’t nothing but a number, throwing down ain’t nothing but a thang, This lovin’ I have for you, it’ll never change.” A tale of love’s realities that sometimes the person you end of lovin,’ ain’t always your age—or age group, rather! And here

comes the checklist of the PERFECT LOVE: He has a stable career. He is so very charming. He keeps you up all night, and makes you feel a wonderful ecstasy! A great cook (Yes! We have to ensure triple points for this!).

Love No._____ The Age Factor of

Dating and RelationshipsBY: LAUREN K. CLARK

Page 58: Ladybird magazine July issue

child, or an adult who handles his responsibilities well? The same applies to you, if you are the younger of the pair. Do you also feel that you are a mature woman, or do you feel your significant other is your “Sugar Daddy?” (Note: This is getting, real good, isn’t it?)

Shall we proceed? Moving On. Now, let’s bring up another issue. Daddy Issues. How is your relationship with your father? And at the same time, how is HIS relationship with his mother? When you think of the saying “Daddy’s Little Girl,” do you gain a sense of pride in knowing that Daddy made you feel worthy, and SHOWED you how you are supposed to be treated? Or were memories of abandonment, neglect, and feeling unworthy part of those childhood memories? The same question for Lover-boy. Mr. Lover-Man. Mr. Grown-A**-Man! How is his relationship with his mother? And let’s check this out. Does he have a history of consistently dating younger women? Did he give his own category of women a try?

Let’s make one thing clear. . .love is a beautiful thing! It truly is. The real dilemma is making sure that it is purely that, and not a need that we are trying to fulfill. So, back to the age question. . .Is this relationship based on love, or is it based on power? Getting deeper, aren’t we? Let’s keep digging. Is the rational for you being with your partner also based on the E-GO, that is! Having a younger man, or younger woman makes you feel young all over again, so the saying goes! Oh boy! Perhaps, some of us have knocked ourselves on the head a couple of times. It’s one thing to feel proud of your man. It’s another to hold him up as your youth trophy! Ditto for the younger woman. And more heartbeats we receive. Hmm. . . “Age ain’t nothin,’ but a number, love ain’t nothin’ but a thing. This love I have for you will never change.” So, how many times did you see the word LOVE in this famous lyric. Two heartbeats, please! Now that we have gone over every single detail for this ageless love, can you honestly say that this love is REAL LOVE! Meaning that you actually fell in love with the spirit and humanity of this person. Not his wallet, young features, and the privileges that comes in dating someone younger or older than yourself. It’s one of the dynamic features in feeling that 2 adults, of sound body and mind came together to expand this thing called LOVE! Mature adults who are not using their partners age to fill a void within themselves. The coming of two people, who are content and fulfilled in their own adulthood (financially, mentally, spiritually, sexually, and emotionally), all the while wishing to merge the two. Two more rhythmic heartbeats for the TWO of you. Wink! Now that we have gotten through

the personal grittiness. Let’s allow ourselves to look at social stigmas you may experience. Yes. The stares, the laughs, and the possible boat of jokes you may be the target of should you decide to hit up the nearest comedy club. Unfortunately, a truly loving couple with a significant age difference, has developed a reputation of not being. . .how should we say it. . .legit! One of pedophilia, rockin’ the cradle, and questions for your reason of being together.

So, whatcha’ gonna’ do? You could A.) defend your relationship. B.) get into a fight. Or C.) purposefully showcase your love in public (i.e. kissing, touching, feeling each other, the whole 9). Tick tock, tick tock. . .Times up! The final answer please. Survey says, C. Four Heartbeats of Love! Exactly. Never mind the stares, giggles, and gossip. After all, you’re in love! And that’s all that matters!

Mother & Child

SIGNS SHOWING YOURCHILD IS BEING BULLIED!

• Changed Temper:Many of bullied victims feel helpless, which makes them feel this huge anger towards the whole situation. And since they can’t show their power in school, they’ll most probably take it on you, or on their siblings at home. So if you notice you child irrationally becoming more defensive, getting angry really quick, or recently started hitting his/her younger siblings, then you have to look more into it.

5• Changed Habits:Ditching practices, spending more time alone rather than with friends, sleeping more, watching too much TV, loss of appetite or eating too much sugary food, suddenly hating something they used to love, etc. All those among many other habits might serve as an indication that something is wrong.

• Zoning Off:Just because they don’t talk about it, doesn’t mean they don’t

overthink about it! The feeling of embarrassment and helplessness is probably dominating their thoughts, and they will keep replaying the situation over and over in their heads. Parents should act if they see their child zoning off more frequently.

• Tired Physique:Stress and depression could greatly affect your child physique and overall health. If they are getting sick more often, if the dark shadows underneath their eyes are new, if they have frequent headaches, or if they are getting thinner all of a sudden, then there is a great chance the reason is psychological.

• Unexplained Cuts and Bruises:

This is the most obvious sign of them all. Always ask about new cuts and bruises you see on your child’s body, and keep insisting on details. Ask them to tell the story more than once on different days, if you can’t add up the facts, then you’ll know what you should do.

Bullying is a serious issue that sadly many Egyptian parents discard, thinking that it’s just a normal part of childhood. Well, it is most definitely Not! According to a study conducted by Yale University, bullied victims are 7 to 9 % more likely to consider ending their lives. Opposite to what many might think, bullying is not confined to a certain age group, and all of us, at a certain point in our lives, either got bullied, or bullied someone else in a certain situation. However, Bullying mostly becomes threatening among older children and teens. During this phase, your

child goes through all sorts of hormonal changes, which makes them more fragile and way too sensitive to rejection. Also, during this phase, peer pressure peaks, and kids tend to distant themselves from their parents; they share less, talk less, and they most likely won’t even tell you if they get bullied, because they feel ashamed. So, with that said, we give you behavioral signs that often associated with bulling:

There is nothing wrong for planning the perfect summer vacation, or having the perfect body or buying the coolest outfits before summer!

But lets face it, our culture nowadays is putting too much pressure on us that we find ourselves constantly focusing on having the perfect summer vacation, just so we can talk about it more than focusing on what really makes us happy. People became so obsessed with showing off their lives on social-media so the whole world would know that they are living the perfect life!

But let me ask you a question and be honest with yourself before you answer… What’s more important to you? Having a really fun summer that you can actually enjoy or having one just to brag about, but wasn’t that meaningful to you?

Your life is so important and it’s worth to be lived and filled with happy moments and amazing memories. Your obsession should be how to enjoy your time the way that will make you happy regardless of what others think.Believe me, great memories never start with “remember when we were at the beach and took 20 selfies then we posted them and got a 100 likes”!

Another issue that can really ruin your summer is when you start comparing your vacation to others. You can plan a beautiful holiday that you believe you’ll really enjoy, say in sa7el for example, then you see a pic of your friend having a tan on a boat in Santorini and suddenly you start rethinking yours.

What you see of others lives is just a snapshot on Facebook or Instagram, you did not see the rest of the picture!

Think about your summer as it’s “your” vacation, your break, your fun time that you

deserve, because you’ve been working hard all year and you deserve an award for that! Don’t fall into the trap that you need to document everything you do, cause that will make you miss the real life going around you.

Workout so that you have the body that will make you feel good about yourself. Buy new outfits so that you

ARE YOU A summer PHOBIC?can love yourself in the mirror. When you value yourself and your happiness, you’ll shine inside out and everyone around you will see that without you making any effort from your side.

Plan your time so that you can say “Wow that was one cool fun summer!”

CARS

Carrying Off a New Style – Nissan Reveals the NV300Nissan has revealed the first official image of its all-new NV300 mid-sized van. Featuring styling cues from the company’s pioneering crossover range, it is a successor to the popular Primastar and will fill the gap between the award-winning NV200 and NV400. Nissan’s latest Emotional Geometry design language – well-known from its class-leading as Juke, Qashqai and X-Trail crossovers – is clear to see on the NV300, with the familiar ‘V-motion’ grille dominating the front end. Key to its appeal will be the NV300’s market-leading warranty. Unique in the segment, it’s a five-year/160,000km pan-European, manufacturer-backed policy that’s fully transferrable to second and subsequent owners. It includes five years’ roadside assistance cover.

Hyundai Demonstrates Luxury, Power, and Advanced Through Its RM 16 Concept. With Hyundai’s record of bringing concept cars to life as production models, the Busan display offered a tantalizing taste of what the company has in store for showrooms. The RM16 concept proved particularly exciting for driving enthusiasts. This is no hollow styling exercise, but rather a highly advanced performance car, and a working development vehicle for technology to be included in the planned ‘N’ sub-brand of high-performance cars. The concept is the latest in Hyundai’s Project RM (Racing Midship) series, following the previous RM14 and RM15 concepts, further developing their high-performance engineering in the form of a mid-engine, lightweight, high-performance two-seat concept.
