Remodel Project Accomplishments

1. Contract work is now completed. 2. Contractor completed work on Fire, Life, and Safety systems throughout the

renovated facility. Final test with OSHPD officials will occur this quarter.3. Construction in the Administration areas have been completed and approved for

occupancy by OSHPD officials. Laguna Honda staff has moved in.4. Simon auditorium has been completed.5. OSHPD approved electrical cutover plans, and permanent power of the existing

wings A & B has now been connected to power from the Pavilion building.6. The construction team is in communication with OSHPD officials on change

orders to the design of the emergency egress lighting in various areas of Simon Auditorium, Moran Hall, and other areas. We expect this work to be approved this quarter.

Remodel Schedule and Related Issues• The City has granted Turner’s request to extend Substantial Completion to

August 30, 2013, • OSHPD is in the process of reviewing and signing off completed work in the

renovated areas. Structural and plumbing work has been completed and signed off. Mechanical and electrical inspection is continuing.

• Contractors has completed all punchlist items. • The City and Stantec are currently in mediation regarding the Errors and

Omissions lawsuit filed in 2011. If a settlement is not reached, the lawsuit will proceed to court.
