The more skills, training, or knowledge, you have the more valuable you become. Since most jobs you will want to get in ten years don’t even exist today, education is your ‘ticket’.

This simply means concentrating on one specific thing or job skill.

Being a doctor, chef, lawyer, teacher, farmer, welder, - all require a very “special” education beyond Middle School.

Supply and demand againYes, jobs are effected by the number of SKILLED people applying for a

particular job. An employer does not have to look far to find a person better skilled, better trained, more educated, than all the others on the ‘list’.

Layoffs

If an industry lays off workers they sometimes have to pay

unemployment wages for a time. If there is no demand for a product the company may save it’s company by

cutting employees. However the more skills you have, the more

training may keep your job longer. Fast food places, small businesses,

do not pay unemployment.

Debit, Credit Cards allow people to purchase items without cash however, they still have to be paid for through cash from a job or other means of making money. They all work on a “line of credit”. The late fees or overdraft fees can equal two/three/or fours times the purchase if you are not careful.

Interest Rates

Credit cards are useful but cash does not charge interest.

Cards charge you to use them therefore, everything you buy has “hidden fees”. You are using someone else’s money and they want interest.

A $1,000 purchase can cost upwards of $1,250 to pay off.

Simple interest

Interest can also work FOR you. Money you save can earn extra money just like the extra credit you earn in this class.

Simple interest means interest is figured only once on your money.

Compound Interest

Most banks and credit card companies use compound interest. It is interest paid MORE than once a year. Compound interest adds up much faster than simple interest. Everyone wants TO EARN CI, no one wants to pay CI. This is why Credit Cards can be dangerous!
