Honor Graduates

Caroline Elizabeth AbrechtValedictorian

Caroline Abrecht is the daughter of William and Betti Abrecht. She resides in Elloree, South Carolina, and is the younger sister of Stephanie Abrecht and William Abrecht, Jr. 

During her time at Lake Marion High School and Technology Center, Caroline was a devoted member of the Gator Band, serving as 1st Chair Clarinet and a member of the Region 4 Honor Band. She also participated in Army Junior ROTC, serving as Cadet Captain, and Varsity Soccer. She is a completer of the Project Lead the Way Pre-Engineering program and remained on the Principal’s List throughout all four years of her academic career. 

After graduation, Caroline will be attending Clemson University to obtain a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering with enrollment in the Clemson Honors College.

Hailey Marie BochetteSalutatorian

Hailey Bochette, born on November 4th, 2002, is the only daughter of Richard and Lilibeth Bochette. They reside in Elloree, South Carolina. 

During her time at Lake Marion High School and Technology Center, Hailey heavily participated in the school’s fine art programs, including Dance, Band, and Theater. She also participated in Student Government Association (Student Body Vice President), Varsity Soccer, and Yearbook. Her love for performing arts continues outside of school, with her involvement with The Calhoun Players at the Cameron Community Theater. She attends First Baptist Church of Elloree and is an active member of their youth group. 

In the fall, Hailey will be attending Emerson College in Boston, Massachusetts, to major in Media Arts Production to pursue her dreams of becoming a filmmaker. She aspires to use her photography and films to celebrate her Filipino heritage and to lift up other minorities’ stories.
