Compliance comprises planned and responsive maintenance, installation and repair services to local authority and housing association clients, in the areas of gas, fire and electrical, water and air hygiene, and lifts. These services cover clients’ social housing and public building assets.
Construction offers refurbishment and small to medium-sized public building works, predominantly for local authority clients. The division focuses on clients in the education sector, although it also delivers some works to a range of other public buildings.
Compliance
Construction
Our construction service is focused on delivering high quality schools and colleges and a wide range of other public buildings, including community centres, libraries, swimming pools, fire stations, and health facilities.
The majority of our business in the Construction Division is for the Public Sector although we do also work selectively for some private sector clients.
A large proportion of our work is in the education sector where we are active constructing, refurbishing and extending schools for local authorities, academies, independents, colleges and universities.
Our division operates from Brentwood as our London team and covers the London Boroughs and northern Home Counties. Our Regional teams operate from our offices in Hampshire and Kent and cover the southern London Boroughs, southern Home Counties, Thames Valley and the south west.
We have built a reputation for successful completion of highly tailored and often complex buildings, many of which are registered with the Considerate Constructors Scheme and achieve high scores for the way in which we manage the construction process.
Close collaboration with our clients, consultants and supply chain partners, and a real understanding of our clients’ needs enables us to make the process pain free. We welcome working in long term strategic alliances or frameworks so that we are able to add value to our clients’ business as well as supporting the local supply chain. We plan for minimum disruption, whether we are working in a live operational environment or an unoccupied site.
Our expert team includes managing surveyors, quantity surveyors, contracts managers, design managers and design coordinators, all of whom have many years of experience planning and project managing buildings intended for public use. The team is led by Dean Ball, Managing Director of Construction, and an industry expert who has been part of Lakehouse for over 20 years.
