assembly consists o a simply designed screw, upper

Hydronic Series Trash Rakes

Hydraulically operated, the Hydronic T Series Rakes

telescoping boom and rake mechanism cleans coarse

and fne bar screens, trash racks and intake screens. Its

telescoping design requires less headroom, resultingin savings or indoor headworks with deep channels

or when retroftting existing screens. And because the

Hydronic T Screen does not require guides, sprockets

or chains, all moving parts can be accessed rom above

the channel or ease o operation and maintenance in

screening wastewater, stormwater and water intakes.

The Hydronic Type K Series Trash Rake is hydraulically

operated and capable o cleaning screens up to a depth

o 100 eet. The articulating design gives the rake arm

Monorail HY-TEC Screen

Horizontal Series Trash Rakes

Hydronic Horizontal Trash Rakes are used to clean racks

with horizontal bars. The hydraulically operated rake

pivots into the rack and then moves sideways to clean

the rack. The screenings can be washed away at the end

o the rack or collected using a grab rake.

HY-TEC S creen

Lakesides proven technology is apparent in the

HY-TEC Screen, which eatures combs with uniquely

shaped teeth to clean the horizontal bar rack whileretaining solids in the main ow stream. Mounted on

a hydraulically driven rame, the combs move back

and orth during a cleaning cycle that is initiated at a

preselected liquid level or head dierential. HY-TEC CSO

Screens are ideal or a number o applications, including

wastewater bypass, combined sewer overow and

storm sewer overow.

Catronic Series Trash Rakes

With a rack cleaner that is highly efcient or heavy-

duty screenings, Catronic Series Trash Rakes oer a

liting capacity up to 10 tons. The rake is lowered to the

bottom o the basin by a cable winch while a separate

cable positions the rake or cleaning. Catronic Series

Trash Rakes provide an efcient method or cleaning

intake structures up to 200 eet deep and 600 eet wide.

Monorail Series Trash Rakes

The Monorail system is designed specifcally orwastewater treatment plants, stormwater acilities and

water intake structures. It combines screening and

transporting into one unit with an overhead monorail,

traversing trolley, hydraulically operated grabber rake

and control system.

Raptor Complete Plant

The Complete Plant screens inorganic solids rom

municipal wastewater and removes grit as well. The

Complete Plant can be installed either above or below

ground in its abricated stainless steel tank. As an

option, the grit chamber can be equipped with a grease

trap operated manually or with a motorized skimmer.

Lakesides H-Pac combines its Raptor or Hydronic T

Screening product line with its SpiraGrit Vortex Grit

Chamber into an elevated pre-engineered headworks

system or screenings and grit removal in one unit. The

H-Pac is a sel-contained system in a abricated stainless

steel tank. It handles ows as high as 12 mgd and can

be installed above or below ground. Its compact design

requires less space and costs less than other packaged

screen/grit systems.

Abrasive grit is the enemy o all mechanical equipment, reducing digester and/or aeration tank volume, clogging piping

and treatment units and increasing wear on pumps and valves. Lakeside oers simple, low cost methods to remove grit

eectively and enhance plant perormance, reducing overall operating costs.

SpiraGrit

The Lakeside SpiraGrit Vortex Grit Chamber eectivelyremoves inorganic grit rom treatment plant inuent in

a mechanically induced vortex environment. It operates

efciently over a wide range o daily ow rates. Rotating

paddles maintain the ow velocity in the vortex chamber,

keeping organics in suspension while allowing heavier

grit to settle at the chamber oor. The settled grit moves

through the center opening and into the lower grit

hopper, where it is removed by either an air lit, a recessed

impeller or a sel-priming grit pump and sent on to the

Grit Classifer.

Space-saving compact design

Aeroductor

With the Lakeside Aeroductor, air is injected into aneductor tube located in the center o the basin, creating

a vertical pumping action. The resulting circulation keeps

organics in suspension and allows the heavier grit to

settle at the bottom where it is scoured, washed and

collected in a central hopper.

In l ine Grit Col lector

Because it provides a low-cost method or removing grit,the Inline Grit Collector is ideal or smaller installations

in plants with a peak ow less than 2.0 mgd. Water

ows in one end o the settling hopper, under a bae,

up and over an adjustable weir and out to the next unit

in the treatment process. The grit settles into the screw

trough and is conveyed rom the system and ree water

drains out.

Grit Class i iers

Our Grit Classifers are designed to provide long lie withminimal maintenance. Featuring a heavy-duty grit screw

with hardened leading edges, it is used with most o our

grit removal systems or grit dewatering. The standard

Model L Grit Classifer is designed to receive grit slurry

up a peak ow rate o 190 gallons per minute. The

standard Type W Grit Classifer with Cyclone can handle

ow rates up to 250 gallons per minute.

The Raptor Grit Washer combines natural gravity orceswith a circular and conical design to provide the highest

The Closed Loop Reactor (CLR) process, a modifed orm

o the extended aeration complete mix process, provides

biological nutrient removal using nonproprietary designs.

CLR processes produce removal efciencies that meet and

exceed those o advanced tertiary treatment processes.

BNR confgurations are available with in-basin designsor nitrifcation and denitrifcation, as well as external

selector confgurations or Bio-P and Total N Removal.

Lakeside Rotor Covers extend over the baes to contain

mist and spray, improving the saety and appearance o

the plant. Velocity Control Baes direct ow downward

creating a rolling motion to ensure uniorm distribution

o oxygen throughout the basin. By adjusting the Euent

Weir, the operator can control the oxygen input into the

basin to optimize treatment and save energy costs.

E.A. Aerotor

The E.A. Aerotor combines the CLR process with the

Spirao Clarifer or a complete treatment system. Its

common wall design creates a small ootprint, which

lowers construction costs. This package system is capable

o providing the same treatment results as stand-alone

CLR processes.

Lakesides submersible products are an excellent

complement to the CLR process or BNR applications or

energy conservation. Mixers are available at slow and

medium speed, and the recirculation pumps can move

large quantities o liquid at low head in wastewater
