    President's Message

    Dear Lambda Sigma Sisters,

It is SPRING BREAK! My, oh my, the race is on to summer. I am writing this the weekbefore spring break. I am eagerly anticipating a great time with my daughter, son-in-law, andthree grandsons in Taos, New Mexico. When this Newsletter arrives to you, I might be having asnowball fight with my boys. Hope so. I also hope that each of you is enjoying your break to thefullest. You deserve an enjoyable, restful week, whether you are retired or not.

If you have seen any of your sisters looking mighty stylin with scarves, it is becauseFrances Courville taught us ways to enhance our outfits with scarves at our February meeting.Peggy Norman explained the changes proposed by her committee to our Lambda SigmaChapter Rules. After discussion, the membership voted, and we are proud of our new By Laws.

Friday, April 1, is going to be such fun. Our meeting will be held at 7 p.m. at Mary AnnDolezals home, but come earlier to enjoy social time. We will be voting on our new members. It is not too late to send an application for membership to Sally Cain. We want to provideopportunities for more educators to enjoy the Delta Kappa Gamma experience. After our briefmeeting, we will play Bunco while dining on potato martinis. Look for information about this funevening in this Newsletter.

I hope you will look for items you can donate for our Cinderella/Cinderfella project. This is such a worthwhile project to benefit the seniors of Fort Bend ISDwho are unable to afford the expense of prom. Bring your items to the April 1st meeting, or callme and I will arrange to get them. More info about this is also in this Newsletter.

Bunco is not a game I am familiar with, but I plan on being one of the prize winners. Please try to join us for this unusual DKG meeting. I can guarantee a good time.

    Fondly,Cathie Ritchie
