    President's Message

    Dear Lambda Sigma Sisters,

We are now into the full swing of football games and fall clothes. The fallclothes are rather difficult to don right now, but maybe someday in the not toodistant future we can actually wear long sleeves or a sweater. I have been busywith the planning of Bellaire High Schools 50th Reunion for the Class of 1961!Talk about time flying! It is truly amazing to realize I graduated 50 years ago.

As busy as everyone is right now, I hope Delta Kappa Gamma is one of yourpriorities. I am thrilled with the great programs and social activities we have

planned. This month we have a speaker from the Better Business Bureau tospeak on Identity Theft and the Latest Scams. That should be very interestingand informative. Put it on your calendar for October 18.

At our September meeting, members voted to sing the Delta Kappa Gammasong only at initiation and the spring luncheon. We will not sing it at everymeeting. We are continuing our worthwhile projects: the Cinderella/Cinderfella Project and the Juvenile Detention Center. We are adding Dress forSuccess. Jennifer Johnson and Stephanie Bailey volunteered to head this project.

Remember ~ dues must be paid by the end of this month. Please makesure you have paid yours. I look forward to seeing you at our October meeting, and then at our Christmas Appetizer Party.

    Fondly,Cathie Ritchie
