Ferruccio was a rich man, and he wanted to start his own car company. He bought a large site, where he built his massive factory, he hired top class men. And told them to build cars live the Enzo Ferrari.

The first lamborghini GT was released in 1963 at the Turin Auto Show. Then the Lamborghini Countach was released. It was the most popular

and successful Lamborghini in history. It was in production from 1974-1988.

Is the biggest competition to Ferrari. It is currently owned by Audi. Audi became the owner of

Lamborghini in 1998. The factory is located in a small Italian village called

Sant'Agata Bolognese near Bologna. The fastest Lamborghini is the Le Mans version of the

Murcielago R-GT model. Its highest speed is 370 km The fastest street model from Lamborghini, with a reported

top speed of 340 km/h,  is the Murcielago LP640.

Most Lamborghini have a v12 engine. The replacement 6.5L engine is estimated to

provided 600 horsepower. The first Lamborghini was a 3.5L. Lamborghini had the first ever internal

combustion engine produced by the firm. The Lamborghini design 90 has a engine of

1000cc.

1963: Ferruccio Lamborghini founded the company in 1963 when he was 47 years old.

1978: Lamborghini went bankrupt in 1978 and was sold to Chrysler

1998: Audi AG became the sole owner of the company.

2001: Lamborghini made one of the great cars, the Murciélago.

2003: Lamborghini made another great car, the Gallardo.

2007: The jet-inspired Reventon was made, cost half a million each, about only 12 were made.

2011: The Aventador is made, and is very expensive.
