Learn the invisible cast-on, make a grafting seam, and an I-cord trim to complete this stunning winter essential. Materials: Approximately 260 yds of Superfine Kid Mohair. Approximately 80 yds of Angora Needles: US Size 10 needles Additional Supplies: Tapestry needle Gauge: 15 sts = 4” Instructions: CO 40 sts using invisible method** for a width of about 10”. (Note: The width can be adjusted by casting on more or fewer sts.) Work in garter stitch (knit every row) and slip the first stitch of every row as if you were going to knit. Work even until the piece measures 48” from the beginning. Finishing: Put both ends back on the needles and turn one end once to create a twist in the piece. Using a tapestry needle, graft both ends together using the Kitchener garter stitch technique.** Edging: CO 2 sts on the right needle and using a crochet hook pick up the third stitch from the edge of your piece. Transfer all 3 sts onto the left needle. Knit the first stitch and then knit the 2 next stitches together through the back loops. *Pick up the next stitch from your piece and put all 3 stitches back on your left needle. Knit the first stitch and then knit 2 stitches together through the back loop. Repeat from *, until the entire edge is finished and you are back to the beginning stitch. Weave in the tail. Tunisian Crochet Cowl Designed for Lambspun by Larissa Breloff

Skill Level: Advanced

Finished measurements in inches: Approximately 15” x 10”. Materials: 100% Baby Llama (color A & color B) ~ 250 yards. Hook: Size (6.5mm or 7mm) double –end crochet. Abbreviations: TSS = Tunisian simple stitch Instructions: Chain 110 with Tunisian double –end hook. Join, being careful not to twist. Work foundation forward pass – 110 loops on hook (color A). Work foundation return pass (color B). Work in TSS (color A). Work foundation return pass (color B). Work until piece measures 10”. Bind off. Block the cowl to smooth and even stitches. Sew in all loose ends. Optional: crochet flower or button).
