HEAL THE LAND!

Dear Readers,

They have spoken: the incumbent, President Barack Obama and

Governor Mitt Romney, the candidates for our coming 57th

quadrennial United State Presidential Election on November 6,

2012. We heard and saw them in their national conventions. We

have heard from the leaders of the Democrats, Republicans and

their supporters. They continue to speak, speak and speak! They

will keep on speaking right into the election and from now on!

They are speaking and we, the people of God, must be listening!

We cannot block out what they are saying by burying our heads in

the sand like an ostrich! We must not ignore what is going on. Weneed to understand the issues and the platforms that both parties

are standing on and are for.

ITS OUR FAULT!

As Christians, God wants us to be active in politics and what is going on in our land. God knows what

is happening in our neighborhood, community, city, state, country or providence. Get this, GOD is

holding us responsible for what is happening in our land, our country. We want to blame the

government for what is going on. We blame our governmental leaders when things go wrong in our

land. Actually, we are to blame for what we have allowed them to do. We want our governmentaofficials to take all of the blame for the wick, evil, unjust, unholy, unfair and un-everything! The truth is

we have given them the right to write the laws that govern us. We have refused to speak up and stand up

for what God has called us, His people, to do.

The campaign talk has been going on all year! We have heard all the promises and plans of the

candidates. They have been fired up for many reasons. People are upset about various things. We, Gods

people, need to tune into what God has to say and what He has said since the beginning of time.

GOD SEES!

One very hot summer evening, when I was tired from doing many chores, I decided to just sit still

and try to relax. I reached over to my Bible which was sitting on the table in the living room near where I

was sitting. God directed me to turn to the Book of Jonah. I kinda groaned and said to myself, I dont

want to read about Jonah and the big fish today. Let me see . . . I will read . . .

Wanda! Read Jonah! God said to me.

I sat there . . . flipped over to another book in the Bible when the pages of the Bible flipped right back

to the Book of Jonah. I thought to myself, okay . . . where should I start. Then I heard God say, Read

chapter 1. Read.

And I did read it. At the very opening of chapter one, I said, Oh! Another hardheaded servant of God.

But, when I read on, I saw what God wanted me to know. Then LORD spoke his word to Jonah son of

Amittai: Get up, go to the great city of Nineveh, and preach against it, because I see the evil things they do (Jonah

1:1 NCV)

GET UP and GO!

GOD SEES and KNOWS just what is going on in our land! He told Jonah to:

Get up,

Go to the city

and Preach against it!

WHY? God said that He is looking right at all of the evil things that are going on in that city

Throughout the Bible, we see that Gods eyes are right on what is going on in the cities, nations, and lands

to the north, south, east and west! Sodom and Gomorah couldnt get away from their sinful and

corrupted living and ways (Genesis 19). God was aware of the homosexual lifestyle. He wasnt for it!

God is closely watching what is happening in this world. He is aware of the deeds of men in theearth. He is holy and righteous! God is commanding His people to GET UP, GO TO OUR CITIES, and

TAKE A STAND! Stand for holiness and righteousness,

THE PREACHER, THE PEOPLE and THE KING

As we know, Jonah did not want to go to Nineveh. He was on the run from God. He hid in a ship

got thrown off the ship and God dealt with him with the big fish that He created just for Jonah! Jonah

repented and went on to do what God told him to do.

In Jonah 3:4 we find that Jonah went to Nineveh. He cried aloud to the people concerning the

judgment that God had for them. He said, Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be overthrown. Godcommanded that Jonah tell the people of the city that He, God, was going to bring destruction upon them

. . . all!

But, the people of Nineveh believed God, and proclaimed a fast, and put on sackcloth, from the greatest of

them even to the least of them (Jonah 3:5). The people believed what God would do through the words of

the man of God, Jonah. They got their act together real quick! They took off their fancy designer clothes

and put on that potato or flour sack! All of them dressed alike! Teenagers included!

The Bible said, For word came unto the king of Nineveh, and he arose from

his throne, and he laid his robe from him, and covered him with sackcloth, and

sat in ashes (Jonah 3:6). The king took off his fine silk or velvet royal robe

of jewels and golden threads. He was as sincere as his people when he

heard what was going to happen to his city. This king didnt mess

around! He did not declare that he was the king of the land. He put on

that sackcloth outfit and sat in ashes to prove that he was serious about

surrendering his ways to God!When I read the end of that chapter, I wanted to rejoice! This touches

me! The Bible said, And God saw their works that they turned from their

evil way; and God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto

them; and he did not (Jonah 3: 9 NJV).

Again, we see that God was looking at the people and king of

Nineveh. He saw their earnest heart of repentance. He saw them turn away from their evil ways. He

could see how united they truly were to STOP their wrong doing. Everybody from the king of Nineveh

men, women, the youth and children changed!

GOD MOVED!

When God saw the change of the people, He moved on their behalf. God did not destroy the land nor

the people. God did not let destruction fall on the land. Nineveh was not overthrown! NINEVEH WAS

SPARED GODS JUDGMENT!

Is there judgment on our land? Is there destruction waiting for the United States by God for the things

that we have done? What does God see? What does He want?

O LORD! HEAL OUR LAND!

My husband, Simmie, heard the voice of the Lord years ago speaking in

II Chronicles 7:14 KJV. For years he has said that it is his favorite verse. God is calling His people to

obey every word of it.

We want our land healed of corruption, evils, and SINS that we have been under since we turned our

backs on God. We have walked away from His Word. We have not repented for what we have done

We are living with comprises! We must turn! Our land will be healed when we, the Saints of God, do

what is commanded in II Chronicles 7:14

If my people, which are called by my name,

shall humble themselves,

and pray,

and seek my face,

and turn from their wicked ways;

then will I hear from heaven,

and will forgive their sin,

and will heal their land.

Schools across the United States have never been the same.

I AM A PRECIOUS PRINCESS PROJECTS

This summer, I had a major project to reach girls from 4 years old to 12 years old. This project wascalled, I AM PRECIOUS, based upon my poem that is titled by this name. God opened doors after

doors for it during the month of August 2012.

This project surpassed my expectations in the outreach! It reached girls from 4

years old to women 75 years old! This was amazing because the poem came from

the Lord to bless, lift and esteem all females for who they are in the sight of our

Heavenly Father. He wants them to know that they are beautiful, wonderful and very special

Hurting, abused, misused, and low self-esteem ladies reached out

and asked for this poem to post in their homes or apartments or

jobs to affirm who they are in the Fathers eye! No more shame!

No more blame!

Over 30 gift packages were made to go with the purchase or

sponsorship of this poem for other girls and women. Most of thepackages were given away to teenage girls from 12 to 18 years old.

These young ladies truly wanted the gift packages which had a gold

or silver tiara, princess wrist band, treats of candies, ball point pens,

and Avon special gift bags of products for ladies.

I am so grateful for the tremendous help and support that I received from three truly supportive

and very generous ladies:

BACK TO SCHOOL TIME

It is time to reach out to our youth!There are so many things to say and consider about our children, teens and young people who strive

to go to school to get their education. School days are not like they was 70 years ago nor 50, 30, 20 or even

10 years ago. Times and life have brutally changed . . . sadly, for the worst.

Schools are filled with hurting people. Bitterness boils over from the heart to the lips of those who are

angry. Anger comes from many sources: the home, television and our society. Numerous families are a

war among themselves. There are horror stories of abuse, abandonment, and so much more. The home is

a battle ground for many children and our youth. There are many reasons for this happening today

There is something to be said about the attitudes and lack or failure of responsibilities of adults who are to

be directly responsible for the upbringing of our present generation.

However, we see on the rise the ugly attacks of BULLYING in

schools, on the internet, and other places. Children and

young people are vicious with words that poke fun at

others and deeply hurt. So many attacks have caused

our youth to commit suicide and have emotional deep

scars for life! We must not let this continue! We have to

speak up and the STOP BULLYING!

This following article comes from June 2006 of

Pockets Magazine. It is published by the Upper Room

ministries. Please read this column, God in My Life.You will be surprised to find that these three girls express

the very things that our girls and youth are going through

even today in 2012. We, as adults and Christians, need to pray

about our children then get off our knees and help make a

change in their lives!

ANSWERED

PRAYERS

AWAIT YOU

MEDITATION SCRIPTURE: PSALM 138:3NLT

"When I pray, you answer me;

you encourage me by giving me the strength I need."

What does it take for God to answer your prayer? What are you afraid of? Do you think He will

not listen to your plea? Do you think that when you cry out to Him that He will not come to your

rescue? Do you think that you are so self-sufficient that you can do it by yourself? Do you have a

crystal ball that can give you the answer without seeking God first? Well, it's time that you awaken

from your sleep. It's time you face the truth and understand that God is standing at attention to hear

you pray. You don't need a crystal ball. You need to rely on God for your very existence in this

world.

You have been sitting there in your unresolved situation and not believing that you can get a

prayer through to God. The enemy has clouded your vision and you are far off track. The enemy has

caused you to revert back to your old ways and not believe that you must rely on God for your

answers to life's issues. Prayer changes things. Prayer is the key to the kingdom of God.

When you realize that God holds the world in the palm of His hands, you can shake off the

weight, and stand firmly, believing that your situation can be fixed. Your heavenly Father has the

right course of action for you to take. He has the right answer to your prayers. Will you yield to the

Voice of the Holy Spirit and relinquish the control to resolve your problems by yourself? You have

been given a wide open window into the heavenlies. But it's up to you to take up your Cross and

follow the Master of the Universe.

God will deliver you from the hands of the enemy. He will deliver you from the storms of your

situation. He will cause you to be strengthened in your inner man daily, as you walk by faith and no

by sight. Can you believe God for your breakthrough? Can you believe that God will turn your

situation around? Can you believe that God will give you the ability to face the giants in your life?

Can you believe that God will provide you with blessed hope to defeat those battles in your life that

cause you to mistrust?

Sure, God wants you to be strong in the power of His might. He desires you to believe that you

can have mountain moving faith. However, you must firmly stand on His Word and rely on Him to

help you conquer fear that attempts to defeat your spirit and keep you from having victory in your

life.

Pray for guidance daily and seek the Lord to deliver you from a spirit of selfishness. Release your

cares to your heavenly Father and allow Him to show you the way to truth. God will show you how

to resolve your issues that have come to defeat your spirit. God answers prayer! Believe it and walk

daily in the revelation knowledge that you are given everlasting hope. Walk in the assurance thatGod will be there to guide you every step of the way. You will not fail. You will not fear! You can

climb that mountain of hope and believe that God will hear you when you pray. God will deliver

you and give you the liberty to walk in total victory. One step at a time follow His leading. Stretch

your faith and move towards the promise that has already been established in heaven just for you.

Thank God for answered prayer and stand in obedience with your head held high. Watch God

show up and rescue you. Give your appointed, heavenly angels their chosen assignments to deliver

your soul from trouble. You will receive miraculous blessings as you believe God for your

breakthrough. Stand and see the salvation of the Lord with you this day says the Spirit of God.

2012 Glorious Celebrations....Congratulations to

DR. CAROLYN COLE!

God has brought a major blessing and great

honor upon the gospel music ministrys

sweetheart, Dr. Carolyn Cole. On Sunday

September 9, 2012, Dr. Cole recently received an

honorary doctorate degree from Union Baptist

Seminary School of Theology from Birmingham,

AL. There was a packed house of family, friends

pastors, clergy leaders, renowned gospel

musicians, and many well-wishers at the historic,

Hartford Memorial Baptist Church on James

Couzens in Detroit, MI to witness this wonderful

ceremony. Also featured was the Womens

Chorus directed by Dr. Carolyn Cole, which

presented an anointed and mighty concert for that event.

Dr. Cole has devoted her life to service and minister for the Lord since her childhood. She

is a great pianist, awesome soloist, tremendous choir director, astounding organist, and

minister of the word of God. During the years, she has given her time and services to serve at

several churches across Michigan and other places. Dr. Cole has a heart for those who are

hurting and grieving because of deaths in their families. You can find her serving at funerals

churches, and other ministries to comfort the bereaved. She is employed at one of our

leading funeral homes.

God has blessed Dr. Carolyn Cole with a very magnificent family. Her father and mother

Deacon Cleveland Cole and the late Mother Janette Cole of Detroit, MI, are gospels great

legendaries in music and ministries. Her grandparents, the Spearman and Cole families,

were founders and pioneers in the Church of God in Christ.
