This new Toyota Land Cruiser engine is a 2.8-litre D-4D four-cylinder turbo diesel engine, packing 174 ponies and producing 332 lb-ft of torque. Toyota has offered this frugal engine in both body styles, 3-door and 5-door, and it can be mated to either a 6-speed manual gearbox or a new six-speed Super ECT automatic gearbox.
