My topic is:
LAND POLLUTION
INTRODUCTION:“WHAT IS LAND POLLUTION?”
- The destruction of Earth's land surfaces.
- A result of human’s activities and their misuse of land resources.
- Agricultural waste, Industrial waste and Deforestation.
AGRICULTURAL WASTE
- Products of farming practices
- Occurs both on this site and in nearby areas
- Chemical fertilizers impact land quality.
- Pesticides impact crop growth, animals and plants.
- Decreases land fertility
- Increases erosion
- Kills plants and animals
- Creates an imbalance in the land
INDUSTRIAL WASTE
- The waste produced by industrial activity
- IGDE (90% industrial waste, 10% gas station waste)
- Pollutants the land with harmful chemicals
- Impacts plants and animals
- Damages environment
DEFORESTATION
- Humans depend on trees for many things.
- Trees absorb CO2 from the air and enrich the air with Oxygen.
- Trees provide wood for humans and a habitat to many land animals, insects and birds.
- We cut down millions of tree and never planted new trees back.
CONCLUSION & SOLUTIONS:
- Agricultural waste, Industrial waste and Deforestation
- Effects on the environment
- Removes industrial waste from the land
- Enhances crop yield by using bio-remediation and bio-fertilizers
- Reduce cut down trees
