Dear Parents and Care Givers A Request / Information from our School Matron: Please remind children to take their hay fever medication before school. In this very warm weather, we also encourage children to bring a water bottle in with them, which can be re-filled in school. The School Nurse service has asked us to remind parents that every child is entitled to a FREE eye test. If you have any concerns about your child and their vision, or if they are suffering from persistent headaches, please telephone your local optician to make an appointment. The money raised will go to the following Year group charities: Year 7 - Acorns Year 8 - Educaid Year 9 - Marie Curie Cancer Care Year 10 - Teenage Cancer Trust The donation for those students who wish to wear their own clothes in school is £1. Money can be brought in from Monday 4th July onwards. Students Sporting Success:

Hockey Success

Congratulations to Aabid Chaudhry of Year 7 who was selected to play for the U13

British Asian Hockey Association. He played in the UK National Tournament on

Friday 17th, Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th June.

Badminton Success

Congratulations to Zak Razak of Year 9! On Saturday June 26th Zak won the

Warwickshire U15s boys title taking Gold and he also won Silver in the boys’

doubles and Bronze in the mixed doubles.

Family Funday – Saturday 6th August

FC Glades Football Club is holding a Family Funday in aid of Kidney Research UK

and British Kidney Patient Association on Saturday 6th August. Their ground is

Lugtrout Lane, Solihull, B91 2RX and there will be a variety of stalls and

entertainments. Admission costs are £1 per adult and 50p per child with under-5s

free of charge.
