Watt Pilot is essential in systems, where stable laser power adjusting is necessary. Despite stand alone device look, motorized attenuator is very compact and it can be easily integrated in custom optical system.

Description
Standard version incorporates rotating quartz λ/2 phase Waveplate and Polarizing Cube Beamsplitter which separates s-polarized and p-polarized beams. The intensity ratio of these two beams is continuously tuned by rotating the waveplate. Pure p-polarization should be selected for maximum transmission, and pure s-polarization - for maximum attenuation.

Description
Ideal for ultraSHORT laser pulses (down to 20 fs).
Ultrafast version incorporates rotating quartz λ/2 phase waveplate and two (or one) high-performance broadband 72 degree polarizers. The intensity ratio of these two beams is continuously tuned by rotating the waveplate.
There are 4 types of ultraFAST attenuators: they can be reflection or transmission type and contrast or transmission/reflection optimized.

Laser Beam Expanders Variable Beam Expanders
Description
Variable beam expander is Galilean type telescope, which allows compact design which is reasonable for industrial environment. Employed lenses are air spaced, thus expanders are suitable for high power applications. Altechna offers three different types of beam expanders, each type is targeted to specific application:
• For Nd:YAG lasers
• For femtosecond lasers
• For two wavelengths (e.g. high power beam + guiding beam, or fundamental + harmonic)
Standard beam expanders are designed for four most popular lasers: Nd:YAG; Ti:Sapphire; Yb:KGW and Yb:YAG, but custom wavelengths are available. Standard mouinting thread is M27x1, which is compatible with common 4-axis mounts.
Models with 1.5x-5x and 1x-8x magnification distinguish by their “fixed-length” design which simplifies both integration and usage.

Fixed Ratio Beam Expanders
Description
Altechna’s beam expanders are assembled using one diverging and one converging lenses, so there is no focal point inside the beam expander, thus it can be used for high powers. For low expansion ratios (1.3 - 20 times) the Galilean beam expander is preferred due to its simplicity and small size. We offer beam expanders made from two, three, or more spherical lens made from BK7, FS, UVFS or other glasses which suit high power applications. Beam expander for any wavelength between 266 - 2000 nm is available on request.
