With more than 60 years of experience supplying solutions oriented to the customer in material forming, Fagor Arrasate has become one of the world’s leading references in design and manufacturing of blanking lines. Now, following the new market requirements we launch the new blanking line with laser cutting technology.
This new technology allows an increased flexibility compared to the usual cutting with press.
Production is not stopped: because the die is not needed, the change of production is almost immediate, needing only to select the new recipe.
Increased flexibility: manufacturing of complex geometry parts.
Multi material: allows working with steel (Usibor, AHSS, ...), stainless steel and aluminum.
Reduction of production costs: due to an optimal use of the coil, the scrap is reduced.
Increased adaptability: possibility of producing any part at any moment in a site equipped with a laser blanking (management of dies disappear).
Reduced cost of installation: reduced civil works on site as the line is more compact and does not require a high building. The line does not need pit or overheld crane for die change.

Fagor Arrasate´s laser blanking lines have technology for improving quality and productivity
In a blanking line the levelling of the coil is a critical process that guarantees the right quality of the blank. For this reason the laser blanking integrates Fagor Arrasate’s know-how and expertise in levelling, with straighteners and levelers adapted to different thicknesses and yields for Steel and aluminum.

For the stacking of the parts, Fagor Arrasate introduces the robot linear stacker and its patented system of flexible automated gripper with the following characteristics:

Our own edge detection system has been developed with the objective of continuously measuring the deviation of the strip and compensate this offset in the laser head. For this reason, 1 or 2 edge measuring systems aligned to each laser head are placed in each cutting station allowing high quality unions while cutting combined parts.
Detection and compensation
2 or 3 laser fiber heads up to 6 KW of power for producing both skin panels and internal car panels or other industries. Optimal cutting control systems are integrated in the laser head.
