PUBLIC NOTICENotice is hereby given that public hearings will be held in the City Coun-cil Chambers of the City of Copperas Cove, Information Technology Center, 508 South 2nd Street.
In accordance with the executive order issued on March 16, 2020 by the Governor of the State of Texas, the Planning and Zoning Commis-sion and the City Council of the City of Copperas Cove will conduct telephonic meetings in order to advance the public health goal of limit-ing face-to-face contact (i.e. social distancing) to slow the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
The public may participate in these meetings by dialing the fol-lowing toll-free number (888) 475-4499 and entering meeting ID: 985 435 334. The public is permitted to offer public comments tele-phonically as stated by the agenda and as allowed by the presiding officer during the meeting. Written questions or comments will be ac-cepted two hours prior to the meeting. A recording of the proceedings will be made available to the public in accordance with the Texas Public Information Act upon written request.
The public hearings will be held by the Planning and Zoning Com-mission on September 28, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. and by the City Coun-cil on October 20, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. The purpose of these public hearings is to allow citizens of the City of Copperas Cove an opportu-nity to be heard in connection with Planning and Zoning Commission and City Council consideration and action for the following requests described as follows:
A public hearing and consideration of Ordinance No. 2020-39, to amend Chapter 16.5 - Sign Regulations of the Code of Ordinanc-es as recommended by the Sign Regulations Workgroup Ad Hoc Committee.
A public hearing request to amend the Future Land Use Plan by Quintero Engineering, LLC, representing 4JC Partners, LP to reconfigure a portion of Ordinance No. 2020-44 for the Valley at Great Hills from LD (Low Density Residential), MD (Medium Den-sity Residential) and Parks & Open Space to MD (Medium Den-sity) and Parks & Open Space pertaining to Lampasas County Property ID’s 12193, 20077, 21044, 21045, 20494 and 8968, con-sisting of 49.74 acres, located west of Suja Lane and south of US Hwy 190, Copperas Cove, TX.
