•  Need  assistance  with  eating  and  toileting,  usually  incontinent  

•  Lose  ability  to  ambulate  without  assistance,  then  ability  to  sit  without  assistance  

•  Lose  ability  to  smile  or  hold  their  head  up  

•  Reflexes  become  abnormal
