The purpose built 3km of water channel provides great opportunities for water sports of all kinds including waterskiing, wakeboarding, canoeing and boating. Opening Times: 6.00am-8.00pm. Facilities • Amenities block with toilets and hot showers. • Shelters with gas BBQ’s, tables and chairs. • Swimming /Beach Area. • Walking tracks, wetlands and birds habitats. Licences & Regulations All vessels require a permit obtainable from Council Office (8am to 4pm weekdays). Money raised through these permits goes towards the upkeep of the park. Vessels 15hp or less, Vessels over 15hp. Direction of travel is anti clockwise. Qld Transport Boating Rules apply. Park is closed to skiing when depth of water is below 1.2 metres. Coolmunda Dam – East of Inglewood Dam Level (As of 3rd Sept.) 92%. The following recreational activities are permitted at Coolmunda Dam: Barbecuing, boating (powered and non-powered), picnic tables, toilet, shelters, drinking water. Beardmore Dam – 17km NE of St George Dam Level (As of 3rd Sept.) 99%. The following recreational activities are permitted at E.J. Beardmore Dam: Barbecuing, boating (powered and non-powered), picnic tables, toilet, shelters, drinking water. E.J. Beardmore Dam is managed by Sunwater. The following recreational activities are permitted at Leslie Dam: Freshwater fishing and water sports facilities are available. Somerset Dam – West Brisbane Dam Level (As of 3rd Sept.) 100%. The following recreational activities are permitted at Somerset Dam: Barbecuing, boating (powered and non-powered) with permit, electric model boating (outside designated swimming areas), camping (available at Somerset Park), canoeing, fishing, jet skiing, kayaking, picnicking, sailing, swimming (designated areas), walking. Copeton Dam – Inverell Dam Level (As of 3rd Sept.) 73%. There are no boating restrictions on Copeton Dam. A no boating zone exists around the dam wall.
