Scientific collaboration between «Primekss» Ltd., CERN, RTU and LU
Solid State Physics Institute for creation of concrete with enhanced
properties for CMS experiment:
«Primekss» has offered innovative concrete floor solution for CERN
and this year registered in CERN supplier’s portal
«Primekss» is leading an assessment on behalf of CERN and
generating the first stage report on concrete samples based
on the provided core – first results released at the end of Oct.

The Problem
Riga Technical University
Almost all medium and low-speed marine diesel engines run on
heavy fuel oil
By 2020 (under MARPOL Annex VI Regulation 14) SOx under 0.5%
By 2021 (ECA introduce so-called Tier III) Nox 3.4 - 2 g/kWh
Visualisation of Global ship cargo
1212
Our Solution
Riga Technical University
Develop a novel hybrid technology based on combining two
methods to clean up exhaust gases:
– Irradiation by an electron beam accelerator
– Subsequent purification by improved wet-scrubbing technology
