The brand claims they are different than any other car brand. Here’s how: -Cars are only sold exclusively online at one global price-Cars will be delivered to your door-When you need repairs, cars will be picked up and delivered back to you.-Cars will be “electrified” aka hybrid

The cars will also be based in technology, though details are vague right now.

The car will have a “digital lock” allowing owners to give others access to the car when they want to as well as set up a “share” time when they can use it.

The brand partnered with Microsoft, Alibaba and Ericsson to create the baseof connectivity in the car, including use of the cloud anda touch-screen dashboard.

The designers of the brand have said they attempted to make thebrand attractive to “tech-savvy” consumers.

The brand will make the first cars available in China in 2017, then expand to Europe and the U.S.

What this means for brands:

What this means for marketers:

Other car brands should be monitoring how consumers will react to this newmodel of car-buying and driving that Lynk & Co is offering. Will the new brandbe able to cut through the competitive market and change consumersexperience with car buying? How will the new online services affect consumerdecision making?

The appearance of Lynk & Co as a brand seems different than the rest of carbrands out there. From its seamless integration of technology to simplyinnovative naming convention of its vehicles, it will be interesting to seehow consumers react to its marketing approach.
