Laura Guttridge graduated from the University of Central Florida, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy. She is a former swimsuit model and is actively involved in raising voice against cruelty to animals.
Since a very young age, Laura has been eager to help animals that need support, help or affection. She established Marion County Voices, a small animal right group based in Ocala Florida, to raise voice for the protection of animals.
Laura Guttridge was the past President of the organization and has been actively involved in a large number of protests and promotions including preventing animal hunting, etc. She has also played a significant role in bringing awareness to the suffering of circus animals.
She follows a vegetarian lifestyle and has been promoting it by campaigning in PETA’s vegetarian starter kit. Recently, Laura Guttridge has written a children’s book called Gypsy The Christmas Cat.
She wrote this book to motivate children about compassion, trust and patience. Based on a real-life cat called Gypsy, the book helps children in learning qualities like unconditional love, affection, kindness, etc.
Apart from being an author, Laura is also on the Board of Directors for the reputed Animal Rights Foundation of Florida. This organization aims at spreading awareness about protection of animal.
The Animal Rights Foundation sends out letters to the editors, sends spokespersons to radio and TV shows, demonstrations and outreach events and more, to protect and save animals.
About Laura Guttridge Laura Guttridge is an animal activist, a former successful swimsuit model and an author. She is highly educated with a graduation in Bachelor’s of Philosophy from the prestigious University of Central Florida.
She is also the author of the children’s book Gypsy The Christmas Cat which teaches them about trust, compassion and patience. The book is based on a real life cat called Gypsy.
Children learn about giving out unconditional love, affection, kindness and a home to animals. She has received many awards for protecting animals such as 2007 The Humanitarian Award from The Humane Society.
She is on the Board of Directors of Animal Rights Foundation, Florida and she also established Marion County Voices for Animals. Laura Guttridge has helped raise thousands of dollars for the charity Save the Chimps, by chairing fundraising events for them.
