Inspired by...
AUDREY HEPBURNLauren Berger first saw Breakfast at Tiffany’s at the age of sixteen. Ever since, she lives and breathes all things Audrey Hepburn. Almost every styling project that Lauren works on is inspired by Ms. Hepburn is one
way or another. Lauren’s entire styling aesthetic is based on Audrey Hepburn’s classic style; “I believe that every woman should have a
timeless wardrobe that will be chic for decades to come.”

Although her style embodies Audrey Hepburn in every way imaginable, Lauren’s inspiration does not stop there. She is constantly looking to other 1960s style icons such as Edie Sedgwick, Jackie O, and Catherine Deneuve for styling ideas as well. It may seem that she only has an affection for starlets of the past, but Lauren dreams of styling today’s celebrities as well. Her dream client is Zooey Deschanel. Lauren loves Zooey’s quirky, fun look.
Lauren Berger also finds inspiration in interior design. She has an obsession with all things sparkly and glamorous- she can be found ooh-and-ahhing at a chandelier while out to eat or in a museum. In addition, she is a sucker for animal prints. A trip to the Lincoln Park Zoo is always sure to inspire a styling project!

Inspired by the streetsThis photo shoot was for upscale consignment shop, Le Thrift’s
fashion blog. We wanted to create a look based on popular trends in
Chicago street style. Versatility was a major theme, it’s important to
be able to easily take the look from day to night.

Mild Medium Hot was created by Lauren Berger in June of 2011. Lauren started Mild Medium Hot to begin her styling career. She believes that every woman deserves to look fantastic, regardless of her budget. She created three different price points to style looks around: Mild, Medium, and Hot. Mild looks contain pieces that are generally under $50 and are from budget stores such as Forever 21. Medium looks are created using moderate pieces usually around $50 to $150 found in stores such as Macy's. And finally Hot looks are where the inspiration comes from; containing designer pieces over $150 from high-end stores such as Barney's New York.
