Hunger Games, was then put into a movie. Collins currently lives in Connecticut with her

Summary The book starts of on the day of the reaping, which is where all kids ages 12 to 18 stand in a square in front
of a stage where a woman named Effie Trinket calls out a boy and a girl to train for a competition called the

usually wakes up and goes against the law and goes beyond the borders of District 12 and hunts with a boy
named Gale. When her and her younger sister go to the reaping they are very nervous, because either one
of them could be called into the Hunger games and die. When Prim gets called she is terrified and Katniss
volunteers in her place. Then they call a boy, Peeta Mellark, whom saved Katniss`s life and know they have
to fight each other to the death. There family is aloud to say good-bye then they start the Hunger Games.
They train for about a week then the games are started, bets are placed, and people are nervous. Who will
win the games? Will It be Katniss, or maybe Peeta, or a different district. read this book to find out.

Soundtrack If I made this book into a movie I would put the song Stronger (What Doesn`t Kill
You) by: Kelly Clarkson because to me the lyrics are telling me you if you are not
dead the insident just tought you something better and that you shouldn`t be sad
about it you should take it as a lesson. And I think this is what Katniss is thinking in
the book. So I think this song would be good for the soundtrack because of lyrical
message. This song would be played in the scene when Katniss gets hit by a fireball.
What doesn't kill you makes you stronger
stand a little taller
doesn't mean I'm lonely when I'm alone.
What doesn't kill you makes a fighter
Footsteps even lighter
Doesn't mean I'm over cause your gone.
what doesn't kill you makes you stronger, stronger
Just me, myself and I
What doesn't kill you makes you stronger
Stand a little taller Doesn't mean I'm lonely when I'm alone
Rating I would give this book a rating of four out of five stars because I thought it was very intriguing, I
did not know what would happen next. There was a lot of action in the book. I felt like I was there
with Katniss. During those moments where she was running to save her life I was running with
her. And when she was braiding Rue`s hair with flowers and singing to her I felt like I was singing
too. The reason why I did not give this book five stars is because it was very sad at times and I do
not really like the thought of kids killing other kids.
Comparing This book reminded me of the book the Percy Jackson series by: Rick Riordan because there are
kids that kill evil spirits and mythical stuff like that. But it mostly reminded me of this book
because These kids had archery, and battles, and wars with other people. Both books in my mind
are very violent.
