A clean room engine assembly and

hot test cell with 10 station assembly,

capable of assembling 4000 engines

per year over 2 shifts for the McLaren

MP4-12C supercar. A viewing gallery

was also provided for the end client to

view engines being assembled.

A new performing arts centre spread

over 3 floors including music rooms,

auditorium, separate junior school

and senior school kitchens. The new

building is connected to the existing

school via a glass walkway.

A 79 bedroom care home for senior

citizens with the top floor designated

to dementia. The project included

dining areas, kitchens, laundry,

ground/roof plantrooms and

secure gardens.

Complete refurbishment of a 16th

century grade II listed property. The

existing 22 flats were modified to

provide 10 warden assisted flats

over 2 levels.

The project also included

refurbishment works to the chapel,

laundry and communal areas. All

systems installed interfaced back to

the main property that is located at

the opposite end of the gardens.

Complete refurbishment and

extension of a grade II listed property.

The property now has the capability

of supporting 3 MRI scanners within

the lower ground and ground floor

scanning suites. There are 2

work to live medical units and 1 top

floor apartment.

This property was converted from a

medical centre to a scanning centre

which required an incoming electrical

supply with a high load capability. This

would normally be achieved by having

an HV incoming supply. This was not a

satisfactory solution for the project

so a reversed UPS system was

installed to take the high MRI inrush

currents, protecting the existing LV

supply fuses.

This project comprised the

regeneration of an external Mall and

creation of public toilet facilities.

The scheme involved the redesign

of the entire lighting scheme with

modification to the existing centre’s

fire alarm and security systems.

Modifications were also required to

existing services installations serving

the retail units.

Retail

Various Wickes projects have

been designed, installed and

completed. This includes

numerous conversions of existing

Focus DIY stores into Wickes

stores, to the provision of

complete retail parks such as St

James’ Park Newcastle. Which

comprised a Wickes extra store, 5

retail units with incoming services

and the provision of a new Army

Cadet Force centre.

A prestigious new build office

consisting 8 floors of lettable office

space, basement and roof plant areas.

Services installed to cat A fit out.

The majority of office spaces have

been designed to accommodate one

to two individual tenants. Offices are

provided with accessible floors and

ceiling voids for future tenant fit-out

services.

A new build HQ office complex for

occupation by Towergate (Europe’s

largest independently owned

insurance intermediary).

Structural problems developed during

the construction of a neighbouring

building and as a result No. 14 was

deemed unsafe for occupation.

Existing property was demolished

and replaced with a new building. The

existing Georgian façade was retained.

The building comprised 10 no. offices

suitable for individual tenants. Cat A

fit-out.
