The Legislative Research Office Reference Library subscribes to almost 50 magazines, journals, and other periodicals covering a wide range of topics. These materials are available for use by senators and legislative staff. At your request, copies of most of our publications can be routed to your office as they arrive. Following is a list of the many periodicals available from our office. The first half of the list is organized according to 14 subject areas. These include:

A leading resource for in-depth information on U.S. colleges and universities. Reports on a broad range of academic topics including government affairs, international news, scholarship, and athletics. It is published in two sections: section A with news and job listings, and section B, The Chronicle Review, a magazine of arts and ideas. (48 issues per year)

City Journal

One of the nation’s premier urban policy magazines, it offers a mix of articles on topics ranging from school financing, policing strategy, and welfare policy to urban architecture and family policy. It also highlights the latest in urban policy theory. (Quarterly)

Correctional Law Reporter

Summarizes the key legal decisions in corrections in a non-technical way. Issues covered include: supervised release, probation, and parole. (Bimonthly)

Corrections Managers’ Report

Written by corrections professionals, the publication offers practical guidance on how to effectively manage corrections facilities, finances, staff, and inmate populations. (Bimonthly)

Creighton Law Review

Daily newspaper covering the Lincoln metropolitan area and the state of Nebraska. Also includes national
