Basic Function“Provides the full range of basic law enforcement
services of a designated geographical area.” ▪Patrol function ▪Basic traffic services ▪Response to service calls ▪Basic security and protection

Personnel!
▪ Supervision : Span of control expected for this Type 5 Team is 1:5. !
▪ Number of officers is expected to be five
Vehicles▪ Marked, six patrol vehicles ▪ Each vehicles brings spare tire ▪ Emergency lighting ▪ Basic first aid kit ▪ Flares/cones/emergency signaling devices ▪ Fire extinguisher
Equipment▪ Uniform, home agency approved, readily
identifiable as law enforcement official ▪ Flashlight ▪ Commission and CLEET credentials ▪ Handcuffs ▪ Agency approved weapon and ammunition
Communication !▪Each individual Strike Team must come with inter-Team communication, other than OK-LAW ▪Cell phones ▪Handheld radio ▪Spare batteries / charging capability
Training ▪ Basic CLEET certification. ▪ Strike Team Leader must be Basic CLEET
Certified (full time) ▪ Individual members can be Reserve
CLEET certified ▪ Basic ICS training ▪ Strike Team Leader must have ST/TF
DIRECTION▪ Guideline review and approval by
stakeholders ▪ Recruitment of more Strike Teams
throughout state ▪ Training deployments
