Man charged with taking nap in stranger's basement Bethany Bruner , [email protected] 6:17 p.m. EST February 18, 2015 NEWARK – A Newark man has been charged after he allegedly tried to take a nap in a stranger's basement Saturday afternoon. Licking County Sheriff's Office deputies were called around 4:15 p.m. Saturday to a home on the 3000 block of Sleepy Hollow Road in Newark after the homeowner said a person he did not know was sleeping in his basement. According to a sheriff's office report, the homeowner left to run a short errand, and while he was gone, a man later identified as Gregory P. Kirk, 32, allegedly walked in an unlocked door and went to the basement. The homeowner told deputies he believed it may have been a neighbor, but when he went downstairs to talk to the man, he did not recognize him. Relatives of Kirk live nearby, according to the report. When deputies went to the basement, they reported finding Kirk lying on the couch and said he "had taken his boots, coat and hat off and was sleeping as if he lived there," the report stated. Deputies reported they tried to wake Kirk several times, but Kirk did not respond. One of the officers on the scene tried rubbing Kirk's chest, but Kirk began "resisting," rolled over and continued sleeping, according to the report. An electric stun gun was eventually used to "drive stun" Kirk for about 4 seconds, which reportedly caused Kirk to cry out but then go back to sleep, the report stated. Deputies reported they finally handcuffed Kirk, put his boots on and took Kirk to a patrol car, where Kirk went back to sleep in the back seat. A squad was called to take Kirk to Licking Memorial Hospital for evaluation. Kirk was charged Tuesday with trespass in a habitation, a fourthdegree felony, in Licking County Common Pleas Court. He appeared for a bond hearing Wednesday afternoon and was released on his own recognizance, according to court records. DESCRIPTION

Ken Oswalt is prosecuting this man with a felony. It seems pretty hypocritical ssnse there are court documents that allege Oswalt has illegally entered a woman's home and left a message saying he was watching her every move, signed the Burglar. There can be little question that the handwritten card was in Oswalt's writing. The reports on the napping man show no sign of any attempt to harm the people; can the same be said of KEN OSWALT'S actions? Why did the Newark Advocate cover up the fact that Deputy Dearing had been disciplined months before for tazing himself?
