LCVP What is LCVP?
This programme is in existence since the 1980 s and
has been revised in 1994 and again in 2002.
It was in response to the challenge placed on Ireland’s education system by a changing work and business
environment.
Programme V Subject
- Department recognised as Programme with specific
requirements attached to it.
Its an additional 8th Subject in the School
PROGRAMME REQUIREMENTS Link Modules – Preparation for the world
of work and the Enterprise Education
2-year duration
Minimum 5 Leaving Certificate Subjects at Higher, Ordinary or Foundation level
to include Irish
to include 2 Subjects from the Vocational Subject Groupings list

Kerry Museum – evaluate, make
comparisons and complete a report

Enterprise - students design, produce and
market a product which is then sold at the
Christmas Trade Fair.
Students worked in groups, costed and
decided on a selling price
