In 1995, a small group of students tri-ed to change social habits in their own town, Milan. They wanted people go out their houses, their cars, their offices and live their city. Since the beginning, esterni realized that Public Spaces could be the heart of cul-tural change. Nowadays, that students’ group is a cul-tural enterprise with a great expertise in creative projects to solve contemporary problems. The aim of all esterni’s activi-ties is connecting people and enhancing general commitment, public thinking and cultural exchange.

Milano Film FestivalSince 1995, Milano Film Festival ta-kes place in public spaces throughout Milan. Every year over 100,000 people from the whole world sit in front of our screens watching films for about two weeks in September: places to sociali-ze with other people and share ideas. Day and night squares, theatres, audito-riums, streets, alleys, car parks, suburbs, parks, museums and galleries are full of people of different ages. Public spaces throughout the city are always open, in-viting, enlightened and lively.

Public Design FestivalWe toured the world’s public spaces lo-oking for ideas and projects to present during Milan Design Week: interven-tions, installations, and services that will transform the way we experience and live the city.

esterni for BarillaWe are working project developed for Barilla, the italian food company. ester-ni is creating a new assessment process for international talents and designed special places and activities to encoura-ge creativity and professional learning inside the headquarter.

esterni for Intesa San PaoloA strategy approach for the development of a specific bank of the Intesa Sanpao-lo Group: Banca Prossima, which is the bank for no profit organizations. esterni developed unconventional projects in-cluding BTL communication items and a forthcoming web series.

esterni for Pitti ImmagineDuring Pitti Immagine in Florence and Milan, esterni organized a performance, called “BYGentuccaBini”. The aim was to give new life to the outfits of visitors and let them play with fashion.

Upside TownA new communication strategy and a project developed for Sab Miller in Italy. Public spaces and ordinary situations became special and extraordinary, en-volving people during their daily habits.
