Teachers Aspirations for 2011Make IWB training so that it can be more interactive for the children.

All teachers attended about 6 interactive whiteboard training sessionsFrom these sessions teachers have selected and implemented these new ideas at their own level

In the classrooms interactive whiteboards are used for handwriting, daily timetables, maths modelling, writing modelling, knowledge quizzes, to show pictures videos and information from the internet, games,

Teachers Aspirations for 2011Teach Special Needs children to use the digital camera and this could be a focus for them to talk about or write about. To have a digital camera per class.

They are also using computers daily for maths, reading and writing.

Special needs children are using the cameras daily.

Students are more independent and more confident to use cameras and computers. Which has enhanced and motived their learning.

We still need more cameras.

Teachers Aspirations for 2011To have the classroom programmes on the computer suite computers so they can be taught how to play the games at the same time. Then they could use the control skills and keyboard skills independently in the classroom.

NE- Y3 Junior classes have been using their class computers for CD-Rom games, publishing writing and google has a research tool.

Y4-Y6 this year we moved away from teaching the students just internet games. We now use Studyladder for mathematics and literacy. Most students now use Superclubs for cyber safety and communicating with each other as well as teachers.

1. Follow up conference members to train peers.2. Introduce 3 new students each week. 3. Meeting regarding requirements and logistics in week 5. Competition for finals in week 9.4. Timetabled in during day.5. Plateau School – follow up and share in our own meetings.

Superclubs – students will be emailing each other & teacher check to see if they’re using it.Photo comp – basic techniques learned – light, rule of thirds, angles, contrast, perspective, balance.IWB’s will be used for more of a variety of things. Term 3 Superclubs into Y5/6 IWB training

Penny and Donna will discuss how to make this happen – will do presentation to Donna’s class. Already have experts in the class. Donna will timetable in.IWB – observe during our peer observations to see how they’re being used.

Term 4 More use of IWB’s and computers as tools for learning – has become a normal part of their day.

Continue to share and explore the IWB with each other.
