ASRY’s No.1 Dock is the yard’s largest, and the region’s most experienced, having hosted some of the world’s largest ships.

Capacity: 500,000dwtOverall length: 375mOverall width: 75mMultiple dockings: YesDraught: 8.5m (9m below chart datum)

Draught max: 10.4m (tide dependant)

ASRY’s core business since launching in 1977 has been its ship repair operations. Beginning with the drydock, followed by the floating docks, slipways, and over 4km of alongside berth space, ASRY now has a leading variety of facilities to repair practically any size and type of vessel. The yard is trusted by some of the most prestigious names in the global shipping industry and is capable of repairing any type and size of marine vessel, from workboats, to containerships, VLCCs, cargo vessels, ro-ro vessels, bulk and cargo carriers, chemical carriers, and more.

The most recent addition to the 4km total berth space of ASRY is the new 1.38 km Quay Wall, which gives ASRY almost unlimited flexibility to accomodate all client timeframes, through detailed scheduling and expert berth management. With an alongside depth of 10m, the quay wall, can simultaneously handle three 300,000dwt vessels, and is ideal for alongside repairs, steel work, upgrades, and blasting and painting scopes. The large amount of space and dedicated infrastructure also makes the quay wall well-suited to longer-schedule projects.

ASRY boasts one of the most comprehensive workshop portfolios in the region, including dedicated shops for:

1. Refurbishment and machining operations 2. Mechanical overhaul & rebuilding 3. Hydraulic Engineering 4. Rudder, propeller & drivetrain servicing and overhaul 5. Pipe fabrication 6. Steel and Boiler servicing 7. Electrical & instrumentation installation fault finding and repair 8. Lifesaving & firefighting appliances servicing and repair

ASRY’s twin slipways, each with a dry berth length of 255m, are ideal for accomodating offshore service boats, supply boats and general cargo vessels up to approximately 15,000dwt. Vessels with a draft up to 4.5m can be slipped under normal tidal conditions. ASRY’s slipways have grown to become the most popular mid-range dry berths in the region, and added a further dimension to the yard’s space, flexibility and overall variety of repair possibilities.

One of ASRY’s strategic diversifications is its dedicated offshore oil and gas division. Specialising in offshore rig repair and fabrication work, the Offshore Repair division is an integral part of the yard’s capabilities. Having repaired several major rigs, including the largest rig in the world at the time, Bob Palmer, the division has the capability to handle any offshore platform structures for either repairs, component construction, mobilising a skilled ‘riding squad’, or surveying.

This is a dedicated division comprised of a team of engineers, naval architects and senior yard managers, providing construction, engineering, design and consultancy services on a global basis. Drawing on 35 years of successful yard management expertise, ASRY has a growing newbuild portfolio including offshore support vessels, harbour tugs and specilaized barges, as well as turnkey engineering packages including ballast water monitoring systems, and low-sulphur emission systems.

ASRY has two floating docks to expand on the dry repair capabilites of the yard:
