EXCURSION

The ICRIEMS offers a post-conference tour for theth participants on 17 May 2017. The tour includes visiting

the tourism icon of Yogyakarta city, Kraton Yogyakarta.It is the King palace with its ground and elegant Javanese architecture that lies in the center of the city. The tour continues to Tamansari Water Castle, which is a former royal garden that was once used as a bathing place for the kings, and visit batik home industry also silver craft factory at Kotagede. The final destination of the tour is the Prambanan temple, the highest Hindu temple in Indonesia, and Boko Temple. The tour includes a tourist guide, lunch at local restaurant and all entrance fees. For participants who are interested, please contact the

Scientific attitudes have been seen as an important aspect in the field of science for more than five decades. Scientific attitudes are not similar to attitude towards science or mathematics. The latter is about interest in science or mathematics, whereas scientific attitudes refer to habits of mind to think and act that lead to scientific activities. Scientific attitudes include critical-mindedness, suspended judgment, respect for evidence, honesty, objectivity, curiosity, creativity, and flexibility. Individuals with good scientific attitudes are more likely to become successful scientists or mathematicians.

Scientific attitudes are not innate or inborn characteristics. Many researchers believe that scientific attitudes need to be developed through experiences. In this case, these experiences include educational activities and also research activities. Considering the important role of education and research in developing scientific attitudes, the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Science – Yogyakarta State University invites researchers and educators to share ideas in the Fourth International Conference on Research, Implementation, and Education of Mathematics and Science (4th ICRIEMS).

The theme of the 4th ICRIEMS is “research and education for developing scientific attitude in science and mathematics.” The scope of this conference covers all topics in the field of mathematics, chemistry, physics, biology, mathematics education, chemistry education, physics education, biology education, and science education.

The fee for the Excursion is not included in the conference registration fee.

ICRIEMS provides opportunities to the participants to publish their articles in SCOPUS indexed conference proceedings, DOAJ indexed journals, or non-indexed conference proceedings. All articles submitted will be peer reviewed by ICRIEMS committees and each accepted article will be assigned one of the publication categories as follows.Category 1: SCOPUS Indexed AIP Conference Proceedings.Category 2: DOAJ Indexed Journals: JPMS, JSD, or Jurnal Inovasi Pendidikan IPA.Category 3: Reguler ICRIEMS Proceedings indexed by Google Schoolar
