Leaflets design. Types of leaflets

A leaflets can be a great communication tool if done properly known. That is why, before

creating a leaflets, think in each of the sections that Comprise to define your goal and, Therefore,

to plan its development.

Try to communicate the message. And that defines the message to be Transmitted through a

leaflet is one of the biggest problem for companies and designers. Ideally in such cases is to meet

with the marketing team and think about the usefulness that user will then define the message.

This means you need to think that if the leaflets will create a new product to present, to offer

promotions or offers, to inform ... and having clear this part, start thinking about the other

elements: text, images, design ...

If your leaflet, for example, AIMS to present a new product, you must present a striking Design

that applaud the characteristics of the product and explain, in a clear, short and simple, its

benefits to the public. If you cast deals, the design will focus on the products ordered and the

outstanding price.

Being clear about the message, you can start thinking about your texts in leaflets.

Types of leaflets based on the number of pages

Choosing a company leaflet should be used to be known or introduce a new product is very

complex given the number of leaflets that are available to businesses.

That is why, in this post, we collect different types of existing projects based on their number of

pages:

1) Steering or flyer. One of the most used, because it has not a single sheet that is folded and

printed on one or both sides. They are usually square or, on occasion, rectangles, A4, A5, A6 or

10 × 21 inch sizes.

It is one of the most popular formats given its low cost of printing, which allows the acquisition

of a greater number of copies and ease of distribution.

2) Diptych. Books two pages you can usually printed on three sides (front and internal contents)

or four (front cover, contents and closing). The companies that want to use to communicate

information that does not require much extension.

3) Triptych. It has six pages and fold into three parts available for printing. Often used when the

company has more information to report.

4) Quadratics. These kinds of leaflets are four parts, i.e., eight pages, employing companies to

spread.

Once we are clear about the goal that the company intends to achieve through the brochure, it's

time to start thinking and creating. If you do not have time or inspiration thinking of crowd

sourcing, there is a way to outsource work.

Leaflets classes depending on fold:

Previously we talked about the kind of leaflets as the number of pages but there are many more

leaflets depending on fold:

1) Fold window. Typically used for the leaflets, folding the outer flanges inward.

2) Fold accordion. Zigzag -like, is formed by two or more folds in opposite directions. It is a

perfect format for leaflets with many lashes, but the most common way to use it is in triptychs. It

is very versatile; it can be opened in different directions.

3) Fold cylinder or shell: This is a brochure whose folds are folded over them repeatedly. The

contents of each tab must be unique and individual.

4) Fold cross. An original format that may contain information on one side or both, although it is

difficult to organize content, must be independent in each tab.

5) Fold in parallel. It is a quadruple used where two tabs are folded over the other two.

6) Fold in half. One of the most common is a diptych with one fold in the middle.
