The event will include an indepth tour at Autoliv and a day of learning and reflection. The Gemba walk will be led by Ross Robson the Creator and ex Director of the Shingo prize. The day of reflection will be led by Joe Murli, Principal of the Murli Group, and Kathi Hanley, an expert who led the management development and training programs at Toyota. Participants will get a chance to see, ask questions, and understand how this organization is led and managed day to day. This group will purposely be kept small and exclusive to the executive ranks of the invited companies. This will keep the conversation relevant to the issues executives face and allow for deep reflection of where each company is on its journey and what next steps to take from a Leadership/Management perspective. Pat Kramer, a Lean Coach with the Murli Group, will be presenting “Lean Solutions for the Real World of Laboratory Animal Sciences” at the AALAS District 5 Annual Meeting in Cincinnati OH on June 2, 2011. Using examples from successful lean facility transformations, the participants will learn how lean thinking can impact the operation and management of their facilities. Join Joe Murli and Pat Kramer as they present the workshop “Using Lean Visual Management Tools in Healthcare” at the ASQ 2011 Quality Institute for Healthcare in Pittsburgh, PA May 17, 2011. Joe Murli, faculty member of the Lean Enterprise Institute, will be presenting “Key Concepts of Lean” in Chicago on April 5-6. The Murli Group will be presenting a storyboard outlining the lean implementation of the Fallon Clinic Patient Care Improvement System at the 2011 IHI Office Practice Summit in Dallas March 20 -22, 2011. At the recent 2011 Lean Transformation Summit in Dallas, Joe Murli was joined by Jim Mutschler, Assistant Vice President of Field Operations for Liberty Mutual Insurance as they presented a session on the Lean Metrics Journey of the Personal Market Claims division of this global insurance carrier.
