A Lean Manufacturing Operative will be expected to carry out their work safely and meet the exacting quality standards demanded in a fast paced and efficient processing environment and develop into a
multiskilled operator through process ownership. Core knowledge required includes an understanding of Health and Safety, Environmental Practices, specific Production Activities, Lean Manufacturing
Operations, Quality Control, Problem Solving, Continuous Improvement, Communication and Workplace Organisation (5S)

What will they learn?
Core knowledge required includes an understanding of Health and Safety, Environmental Practices, Specific Production Activities, Lean Manufacturing Opera-tions, Quality Control, Problem Solving, Continuous Improvement, Communication and Workplace Organisation (5S) All apprentices will achieve a level 2 NVQ Diplo-ma in manufacturing. It is a requirement of all level 2 apprenticeships that apprentic-es must either attain or already have a level 1 or equivalent in English and Maths functional skills.
