Rotation of Inventory
One of the most common problems with inventories is FIFO – inventory rotation to make sure that the oldest parts or components are used first.
Here is a simple Visual Management idea. All boxes and containers in storage are identified with a label. Each labels shows a Production Week number or the week number the parts were delivered.
The smaller the number – the older the product. This way you can easy see which boxes should be used up first.
