The regional festivals

Cavall’ in FestaCavall’ in festa is a festival which celebrates horses and starts with a horse parade for children and adults. This festival is in Corte in June and lasts for two days. At the program of Cavall’ in festa there are: rides, dressage, shows… .

A Fiera di A NuciolaA Fiera di A Nuciola (fair of the hazelnuts) is at Cervione in August and lasts for

two days. This fair is to increase the production of hazelnuts. This fruit is used in cake, candy, jam, chocolate spreading… .

A Festa di l’Oliu NovuA Festa di l’Oliu Novu is a fair dedicated to olive oil. It takes place during the

second or third week of April. This fair allows to value the quality of Santa-Lucia-di-Tallà well-known olive oil.

EstivoceEstivoce is a festival of the voice in July at Pigna and in the villages in Balagne.

This festival of Pigna puts in value the medieval singing, the opera, sacred vocals, popular music, the theater and dance.

A Fiera di a CasgiuA Fiera di a Casgiu is for the cheese farmers. It is every year at Venaco for two

days in May. This fair welcomes thousands of visitors.

A Fiera di a CastagnaA Fiera di a Castagna of Bocognano, is the most important agricultural event in

Corsica. This is during the month of December, and it lasts for three days.

The fair of the chestnut welcomes 150 producers and 20 000 visitors every year.
