The Board of Directors has approved a comprehensive upgrading of CLC Judging. One element of that program is Judges’ Training Workshops. These in-depth Workshops are conducted to educate CLC members in the correct application of CLC judging procedures. Those who have not judged before and would like to judge at the 2018 GN as well as those who have judged before are encouraged to attend. It is also excellent preparation for those entering a car for judginglearn what you should do before you get to the GN. WHAT IS A JUDGES’ TRAINING WORKSHOP? It is six-plus hours of training, including classroom instruction and the actual judging of cars. Classroom Instruction will cover: n Judging FoundationRationale, Philosophy of Judging, Judging Standard n Entrant and Judge responsibilities Practice Judging includes demonstration of the “as-new” judging stan- dard. It also involves actually judging a potential show car followed by critique of the judging performed by workshop participants. JUDGES’ RECOGNITION PROGRAM A recognition program for judges has been established to recognize those who judge. Participating in a Judge’s Training Workshop will be awarded 3 or 4 points depending on each individual’s performance. More details on the Judges’ Recognition Program are provided on the CLC website. If 25 don’t sign up, the Workshop will be cancelled. In the event of cancellation of the Workshop, the fee will be refunded.
