Bilal Al-Nawas is full-time Professor and Medical Director at the Department of Oral, Maxillofacial and Plastic Surgery at the J. Gutenberg University of Mainz. Since September 2009, he is Adjunctive Associate Professor at Kyung Hee University School of Dentistry, Seoul, Korea. He graduated in Dentistry and Medicine and now is affiliated to the University of Mainz for more than 15 years. His mayor clinical and scientific focus in dental implantology are clinical studies and basic research. His clinical workfields are compromised patients with risk factors or local bone deficiency, but also tumor and cleft reconstructions. He published over 100 publications in peer reviewed journals: He is a Fellow of the ITI Section Germany and Education Delegate. In 2006 & 2010 he was awarded: “Best Teacher at the Medical Faculty”. Since 2012, he is speaker of the University Medical Center Focus: BiomaTiCS – Biomaterials, Tissues and Cells.

David Cochran is Professor and Chairman of the Department of Periodontics at the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio, Dental School. He has a DDS, MS, and PhD in biochemistry from the Medical College of Virginia and trained in periodontology at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine where he also obtained a second Master‘s degree. Dr. Cochran is a Board Certified Periodontist, and a past President of the American Academy of Periodontology and the Academy of Osseointegration. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Dentistry, the International College of Dentistry, and the Academy of Osseointegration. He has an honorary doctorate from the University of Bern (2010). Dr. Cochran is currently serving as President of the ITI.

German Gallucci is the Head of the Division of Regenerative and Implant Sciences at Harvard School of Dental Medicine. He obtained his doctorate at the School of Dental Medicine, University of Geneva, Switzerland and his PhD from ACTA, Netherlands. Dr. Gallucci actively participates in clinical research related to implant prosthodontics and digital dentistry. His work has been published in international peer reviewed journals and he is a member of the editorial board for several scientific dental journals. He has been an ITI Fellow since 2004, is an editor of Forum Implantologicum, Chair of the ITI Scholarship Center at Harvard, and also holds other ITI Committee functions in the ITI Section USA and the ITI globally.
