Snowplow Sam Tot Classes (3-5 years)

We offer 3 sessions of Learn to Skate USA Basic Skills classes in Hockey and Figure Skating. Skaters get a 30 minute lesson and 30 minutes of practice ice.

The Snowplow Sam levels are designed to teach the young skater the strength and coordination necessary for an introduction to all ice sports in a fun, small group lesson environment.

The “Basic Skills” are the fundamentals of the sport. Theseeight levels of the program introduce the fundamental moves - forward and backward skating, stops, crossoversand turns. Learn the “Basics” of skating in a fun group

environment.

The hockey curriculum is designed to teach the fundamentals of hockey skating. In four badge levels, skaters will learn to move faster and be more agile on the ice. All elements will be taught without a stick and puck as proper skating techniques are the primary focus at these levels.

Learn to Skate On-Ice Director Kelly Weber started skating at the age of 4. She has been coaching for 15 years, and has been with NPAFSC for 10 years. Her specialties are working with beginnger and intermediate level skaters.

Administrative Director Amy Nunn grew up skating in Burnsville, MN before going on to skate at national and international levels. She specializes in all levels of skating from beginners to adults. Amy is also certified as an Exercise Specialist to help prevent injuries with off ice training.

All sessions are $80. Pay only $225 if registering and prepaying for 1 child, all 3 sessions including free entry into the spring show due Sept 9th. All sessions are non- refundable after the start of the first class session.
