Cost: The cost of the training event is $45 per person, which includes materials and meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner). Certification: Certification requires ten hours of class time. Cancellation: Cancellation Fee of $25.00 for all cancellations after materials have been mailed to participant. No cancellations accepted after September 8, 2017.

4) Devotional Life in the Wesleyan Tradition by Steve Harper Structured around Wesley’s “Means of Grace,” this study covers, among other topics, prayer, Scripture, the Lord’s Supper, and fasting – major features in John Wesley’s

devotional life. Participants will learn how they can apply Wesley’s ministry to their own life. Facilitator: Rev. Wayne Cook, Senior Pastor First UMC—Kissimmee

ADVANCED LAY SERVANT COURSES

5) Teach Adults by Diana Hynson This is a course on teaching and leader development, intended for educators and volunteers in the local church, as well as those seeking advanced certification for lay speaking. Author Diana Hynson says, “This course will help you become more competent in teaching and leading in a classroom or small group." Facilitator: Rev.
