To pass the eLearning Verification Form

What is eLearning?

ELearning days are district-wide days that permit student instruction to be received electronically while students

are not physically present (for use in lieu of the district's scheduled emergency days).

Legal Requirements*Must meet all requirements on the eLearning Verification Form

● The Lake County RoE has verified that our plan meets all criteria:○ Addresses students ability to participate (time, pace and means of

learning)○ Provides staff and students with adequate training for eLearning days○ Provides effective notice to students and their parents or guardians

of the use of particular days for eLearning as well as when and how notice will be given

○ Ensures five hours of instruction○ Ensures home or remote access for students (students without access

are provided non-electronic materials)

● The Lake County RoE has verified that our plan meets all criteria - continued:○ Ensures appropriate learning opportunities for students with special

needs○ Monitors and verifies each student’s participation○ Ensure an opportunity for any collective bargaining negotiations that

may be required○ Review and revise the program to address difficulties confronted○ Ensure the protocol is communicated to teachers, staff and students

at least 30 days prior to utilization

students
