Learning Management System Support Specialist Northeast Mississippi Community College is seeking a full-time, twelve-month Learning Management System Support Specialist. Required –

• Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, education, library science, communications-based discipline or other discipline involving substantial training in the applications of technology to information management or education.

• Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office applications • Ability to learn new software quickly. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; and a commitment to

working in a professional, collaborative team environment. • Possess self-motivation, multi-tasking, and organizational skills. • Possess excellent written and oral communication and problem solving

skills.

Preferred – • Experience with online courses. • Experience working in within a student information system. • Experience using a learning management system. • Experience working on a variety of operating systems (PC and Mac OS). • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office applications and other

web application and development tools.

The Learning Management System Support Specialist will be responsible for providing a variety of support functions to faculty and students as it relates to data management, learning management systems, and general operations of Northeast's online program.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide basic support for the learning management system and vendor applications.

• Assist with the management and ongoing improvement of the learning management system.

• Maintain a current knowledge of the learning management system enhancements, as well as software related to the learning management system.

• Assist with registration needs • Assist with proctoring needs. • Assist with the creation of instructional support materials for students and

faculty.
