Primary school,,Vasil Levski”

Our school is an active participantin social life of the village,participated in celebrations andholidays.Furthermore, we are an active participant in various

educational programs, contests and competitions. Throughthe project we will be able to make true wishes of lots ofstudents wishing to participate in such activities and willdo the activities that are long-planned by the team. Ourschool is very interested in being part of such a project, aswe are constantly striving to give better opportunities to ourpupils to have quality education and prepare them forsocial reintegration. A major problem for our school is thatthe number of children decreases. We hope that learningthrough games is a right way for reaching our goals.

school ,,Vasil levski”, Yurukovo, Bulgaria. The participants represent six partner schools: Turkey, Greece, Bulgaria,

Italy, Poland and Romania.

Students start reading and writing in English. They start with recognizing words, tracing letters, labeling pictures. Attention here is put to teaching vocabulary, reacting

to teacher’s instructions, following and acquiring language by following simple picture stories. All schools use English course books and additional materials except for

the Greek where the teacher provides the students with worksheets and other necessary materials without following a course book.

eTwinning and Erasmus+Short training in eTwinning. Bulgarian ambassador in eTwinning Tsvetelena Taralova has shared an experience in projects. She has presented an eTwinning platform for sharing Erasmus + projects.

Handcrafts,,Bulgarian Martenitsa”-outcome.

It is a small piece of adornment, made of white andred yarn and worn from March 1 until around theend of March (or the first time an individual sees a stork, swallow, or budding tree). The name of theholiday is Baba Marta. "Baba" (баба) is the Bulgarianword for "grandmother" and Mart (март) is theBulgarian word for the month of March. BabaMarta is a Bulgarian tradition related to welcomingthe upcoming spring. The month of March, accordingto Bulgarian folklore, marks the beginning of springtime. Therefore, the first day of March is a traditional holiday associated with sending offwinter and welcoming spring.The red and whitewoven threads symbolize the wish for good health. They are the heralds of the coming of spring inBulgaria and life in general.
